Gabe POV:

Gabe's eyes fluttered open. The credits for Sherlock were rolling. As he went to get up, he felt a pressure on his shoulder. He looked over to see Sam's arm around him. Sam smiled at him.

"Sleep well, princess?" Sam teased. Gabe smiled.

"Yeah, actually. How long was I out?" Gabe asked. Sam smirked.

"An episode and a half. And, you know, you talk in your sleep. You say some interesting things." He teased.

Gabe paled. "Um... what did I say. How badly did I embarrass myself?" He spoke quickly. If Sam knew half of the things that Gabe thought, he would hate him for sure. Sam laughed.

"Relax, Gabe. You didn't say anything, I'm just teasing!" Sam poked him. "But if you did," Sam leaned closer, his nose almost touching Gabe's. "What would you be saying?" He asked, smirking. Gabe turned red. Was Sam... flirting with him?

"What would you want me to say?"

"I-" Just then the door opened. Anna stood there.

"Not you too! Learn to lock the door, or go to their house! Uriel will catch you!" She whisper-yelled. Sam looked at Gabe in confusion. Gabe nodded at Sam, before turning to Anna.

"Thanks. But there is nothing going on between Sam and I." Gabe frowned at her. "Even if there was, I'm careful, Anna."

"Yeah okay. Just you and your boyfriend need to be more careful." She winked at him.

"Sure Anna. Thanks for being cool." Gabe responded, rolling his eyes. He hoped Sam didn't notice that he didn't deny that they were dating. Because he wouldn't mind if they were.

"Later. I'm going to go to Hannah's. I want you to go to school tomorrow. Make sure Cassie goes, okay? I don't want him here more than necessary." She ordered.

Gabriel nodded, before Anna left, shutting the door. Gabriel turned back to Sam, who was frowning at him.

"I thought she was... you know." Sam questioned.

"She's cool. Not great about standing up for us but does what she can. Uriel has guardianship over Cas, and she has me, so this Summer we are going to move out, once Cas is eighteen." Gabriel explained.

"Oh. Will you still go to our school?" Sam asked.

"Yup. I'll still be there to annoy you, Samsquatch!" Gabriel smiled. Sam grinned, before leaning back on the bed.

"Good. And I'll be there to make sure that you don't get into too much trouble." Sam laughed.

"Thanks, kiddo." Gabriel smiled softly. Finally, a reason for him to stay. When Uriel had started beating him and Cas, he debated running away. But no, that would leave Castiel without a companion. And Gabriel couldn't do that, even if running was better for him. He was just glad that he now had Sam, a reason not just to stay, but be happy.

Dean POV:

Dean ran his hands through his messy hair. He looked over at the clock on the wall, annoyed that only two minutes had passed since he last looked. Next period he had with Cas, and he couldn't wait to see him. He needed to make sure he was okay.

Dean couldn't quite put his finger on what he liked about Cas. The way his brilliant blue eyes sparkled when he talked about anything he was passionate about, or the way his hair always looked like he had just rolled out of bed. Maybe the way he always had a book with him, taking it out to read whenever he felt uncomfortable when they hung out with all of their friends.

Dean was jolted out of his thoughts by the bell. He stood up quickly, before running to English. He needed to see Cas. As soon as he got there, he went to his seat, quickly sitting down and turning to face the door. That was when Cas walked in.

His normally messy hair was combed down, to an extent. His normally bright blue eyes were dull. Something was wrong.

"Hello, Dean." Castiel's gravelly voice shocked him out of his observations. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, Cas. Are you? You look, different." Dean asked, choosing his words carefully. He didn't want Cas to think he looked bad, because he didn't. He just looked different, and while Dean liked it, he wanted to know if it was something Uriel made him do, or if it was his own choice.

"I'm fine. Uriel made me comb my hair properly." Cas muttered. Dean sighed. There it was. Dean ran his fingers through Cas's hair, making it look properly ruffled again.

"There. It looks more... you this way." He smiled, winking at Cas. Did Cas... blush? Cas looked down at his shoes, murmering a thank you. Dean smiled. "And also, did I ever tell you that your eyes are beautiful?" Dean smirked, deciding to test the waters. Castiel blushed again.

"I... um... thank you, Dean." Cas stammered out. His face went from pink to bright red as Dean winked at him again, just before the teacher walked in.

Castiel's POV:

What is he doing? Dean... the winks... Cas didn't even know what to think anymore. Not that he would mind if Dean was flirting. Cas knew he had a crush on Dean. It was just a matter of not letting that crush get in the way of hi friendship with Dean.

As class dragged on, all Cas could think about was Dean. How even when Cas was at his most vulnerable, Dean had been there, comforting him, and being there for him. How Dean, even though he had only known Cas for a few days, still seemed like he cared for him as a best friend did. Not that Castiel would know what a best friend was.

He sighed. He had never really known what he was missing out on in the friends department until he met Dean. He had always seen them as a nuisance. Gabriel, being so mischievous, never really had any either. And Uriel was... well... Uriel. And Anna had friends, but they never came over to the Novaks.

Castiel knew that the Winchesters were good for Gabriel and him. Just never how good until he sat down and thought about it.

"Dude. C'mon, the bell rang a minute ago." Deans voice pulled him out of his thoughts. Had he really been thinking for that long? Castiel blushed.

"Sorry, Dean. Was lost in thought." Castiel replied absently.

"What were you thinking about?"

"Nothing." Castiel shook his head. "You." He muttered under his breath.

"What was that?" Dean asked, not quite having heard what Cas said.

"Nothing, Dean. Let's go find our brothers." They headed off towards lunch, both equally dumbfounded by what just happened.

(Hey, so sorry for updating so late, I had my first day of school so I had a little less time then usual to write. Anyways, sorry it is so short, and thanks for reading! I'll try and put a little bit more Sabriel in the next few chapters. Comment if you have any ideas, i'm always open to suggestions!
