I slipped on the hoodie and found you were in a diner for breakfast.

Your mother was there as well.

You were both talking quietly and sipping colorful fruit smoothies.

Your mother was pretty, with a small round face a little like yours. She looked at me as I approached and touched your shoulder.

You wheeled around and your eyes widened before you realized I was wearing your hoodie.

"I'll see you this afternoon?" I said hopefully. "Maybe around four?"

Your eyes gleamed and you nodded.

You stood up and introduced me to your mother briefly, telling her that I was 'busy' for the day but would hopefully see each other again later today.

I pretended to walk out the diner before taking off my hoodie and found myself back in my room.

I stuffed the blue hoodie in a small backpack along with a few other articles of clothes and a water bottle.

You lived in another city, but I could get to you by train and bus.

I left a note on the kitchen counter for my mother, telling her where I'd gone.

I boarded the bus that would take me to the train station.

It took me four hours in total to get to your city. I double-checked the maps and indeed, I was at the right station.

When I got off, fatigue was beginning to take over but I pressed on.

Towards you.

You told me to wait at a bus station that you would meet me and take me to your house.

I waited there for you, Park Jimin.

I told you I waited.

You came eventually. About an hour after four.

I wanted to run and embrace you. But something was off.

You looked different. You had on your school uniform, and your hair was cut a little different.

"Jimin?" I called softly to you.

I was sitting down, my body exhausted from the travelling and unable to stand.

You paused and stared at me.

We stared at each other.

You were there in front of me.

Park Jimin you were right in front of me.

But you didn't recognize me.

You were polite, apologized for not knowing who I was, and then boarded the bus that came.

I didn't board the bus.

When did you understand the cruel joke Fate had planned, Park Jimin?

Was it that day that you surely waited with your mother at the bus stop for hours?

Do you still not know?
