Jack had to get away from Rex and his never ending questions that Jack only had few answers for.

"No way World War Two, you are not leaving the country," Rex stated angrily fallowing Jack up a huge hill.

"Rex, not only am I leaving the country, I'm leaving this planet," Jack turned around his blue gray eyes hard and determined.

Gwen had returned to Wales shortly after Ester's funeral and Jack wished he had went with her. He missed the smell of fish and chips and he missed Gwen, hell even Rhys at this point. But the one person Jack missed the most was his Doctor. Jack had tried calling The Doctor so many times during the miracle with no luck. He was so sure that Martha's cell was still on the TARDIS. So Jack went threw a few underground networks to find psychic paper. And after a few weeks he found one. He thought long and hard about what he would send The Doctor but what really troubled Jack was seeing his Doctor again and not some other man. Finally Jack got it down he thought of his Doctor and his message. Now he only hoped it worked.

"How the hell are you going to do that?" Rex asked, another stupid question.

Jack was done answering Rex's stupid inquires and acted as though Rex hadn't spoke. Jack listened for the sound of the universe and hoped that his Doctor would come. Then he heard the sound of a lawn mower and a paper shredder from the left of him. Without a second thought Jack took off to the sound. There it stood big and blue and shining, waiting for him. The door opened with a creek and a man in a tan trench coat and brown suit emerged. My Doctor, Jack smiled to himself.

"Doctor," Jack smiled brighter.

"Jack," the Doctor beamed back.

"It's been years"

"Days for me. But all the same, it's good to see you"

Rex came up behind Jack breathless, "who the hell is this? Why the fuck is there a blue box in the middle of nowhere?"

Jack ran his hand down his face out of annoyance.

"Friend of yours?" The Doctor razed an eyebrow.

"Sadly," Jack sighed, "Doctor this is Rex. Rex this is the Doctor."

"Doctor who?" Rex remarked.

"Just The Doctor," The Doctor replied.

"What kind of name is that?"

"Shut up Rex," Jack said looking over at the man who was clearly shocked at being told to shut up. As if Rex had never heard the words.

The Doctor shut the TARDIS door and leaned on it crossing his arms.

"So how can I help you Jack?" he asked.

But before Jack could answer The Doctor spoke again this time a bit angry,"JACK WHAT DID YOU DO? Your friend here is a fixed point and to be quite honest it's disgusting being around both of you."

Jack had been waiting for the Time Lord to notice.  Jack spoke up quickly before Rex could speak, "the miracle, I'll just assume you know what that is," Jack noted as the Doctor nodded,"the only way to end it was to have my blood on both sides of the blessing. So Rex and Esther pumped my blood into Rex. Somehow after the miracle ended my blood changed Rex and now he, like me, can't die."

The Doctor nodded taking in Jack's story.

"Ya, and World War Two here doesn't know how to fix me,"Rex added.

"I don't know how to fix myself!" Jack exclaimed for what felt like the hundredth time.

"I'll ask again how can I help you Jack. You know I don't know how to fix this so what do you want?" The Doctor grew impatient at the lack of movement.
