Fixed in Time

Good bye Doctor

Time went on and they fell more and more in love until the day Jack knew he had to go home to Gwen and annoying Rex. He hated it and even more hated leaving The Doctor. Ten landed outside of Gwen's home on jack's request not to go back to America. It had been two years sense he left Rex on that hill.
"I'll be seeing you soon. So don't go changing faces on me now," Jack said giving his Time Lord a half hearted smile.
Ten didn't speak only smirked, letting Jack know that he would try but didn't make any promises. Jack gave The Doctor one last long slow loving kiss before waking out of the blue box. He stood there watching it dematerialize, sadness and love in his heart.
"Go save the universe doc and don't you forget me," he whispered a few moments later.
Gwen and Rhys took him in and let him stay with them, babysitting as payment. He enjoyed it and slowly started to build torchwood up again. He somehow got the old base built up again and even found himself a team. He was working late one night in his office when he heard it. It had been five years sense he heard that sound but there was no mistaking who it was. He ran over to the concrete slab and let it ease him up to the street level. There the blue box sat right in front of him, but something was different. The windows had changed and the paint was somehow bluer.
The door creaked open a young red headed Scottish girl jumping out and called behind her, "hurry up Doctor!"

"I'm coming these things take time you know, Amy."
A man in a tweed jacket and bow tie exited the box. His hair was longer than that of Jack's doctor but it was still brown. Jack felt himself frown, the man before him wasn't his and his time lord the man he loved had died. The Doctor looked over at Jack and recognition shone in Eleven's eyes.
"Oh yes, see Amy people who clearly know the area. Could you tell me where we are?" The Doctor asked Jack as though he didn't know him.
It was probably easier on both of them if that's how they acted, so Jack played along.
"You're in Cardiff, sir. Amy is it? The name's Captain Jack Harkness and if there's any way I can help you I'd be happy too," he smiled putting on the charm and held out his hand to shake Amy's.
She smiled and shook hands with him. The Doctor made a face and quickly dismissed The Captain, "Come along Pond, got to go."
Amy waved good bye to Jack as she jogged after The Doctor.
