This party must have been big for Jack to want to go to it again. But what truly troubled the Doctor was the lack of danger to happen his way. There was no way he could be this lucky to have a nice day out with Jack and not run into trouble. But the dance hall looked normal and his sonic told him of nothing unusual. Maybe he would be this lucky just this once. What was it that Jack said, today was the day he and jack met? And he was also on a case with Torchwood. Well I guess things could even themselves out, he smiled to himself. The hall was already full of people and smoke. But the dance floor was clear of smoke and the band had just strung up and couples twirled around dancing close together. A few people recognized Jack and smiled his way. Jack kindly smiled back and even kissed a few of the women on the hand. Typical Jack.
"Shall we Doctor?" Jack offered his hand.
"I don't really dance," The Doctor lied.
"Bull crap come on," Jack pulled the Doctor onto the dance floor pulling him close and joined the other couples dancing around them. Past Jack must have danced with men here before because no one turned their way.
"Relax Doc everything is okay. Nothing happens here today to much action up in old London Town," The Doctor could hear the smile in Jack's tone.
The Doctor pulled back just enough to look Jack in the face, "you aren't getting any action tonight either I hope you know that."
"We'll see," Jack winked.
Doctor just rolled his eyes and thought to himself, ya we will. Who knows maybe The Doctor would let Jack have his way with him. Just this once. But that wasn't fair to Jack and could mess with Doctor's biodata. Not like it mattered anymore, Gallifrey was gone and his TARDIS knew his mind well enough that his bio data didn't matter anymore. His face must have shone how hard he was thinking because Jack was looking at him with worry.
"Did I do something wrong Doctor?"
"No no I was just thinking about the action in London," he smiled lying easily.
Jack nodded and pulled out of the dance as the song ended. The Doctor watched Jack turn to a 20 year old redhead asking her to dance with him. She smiled at him in yes of course, The Doctor knowing himself how hard it was to say no to that handsome face of Jack's. He watched the room form the corner. As couples danced and talked, it all looked so peaceful. Though the Doctor knew a war was just outside.
