Once I finished packing Angel and I's things away I walked to the living room section of the bus to find Chris and Angel both asleep. Chris was holding Angel in his arms with his head leaning back against the back of the couch, mouth slacking open slightly and soft snores resonating from his chest. Angel was laying with his head on Chris' shoulder and his favorite plush Mickey Mouse toy cuddled in his arms. I slowly and quietly walked over and picked up Angel trying not to wake Chris but failing miserably.

"Hey Jennster."

"Hey Chris, c'mon you should go to bed. It's pretty late."

"Well, are you about to crash?"

I nodded, "yeah I'm going to go get Angel and I in our pajamas and then I'm going to sleep."

He smiled a small smile. "Okay, my bunk is the one right next to your room if you need me."

I nodded again and walked to the back room with Angel still sleeping in my arms. I gently laid him on the bed and began putting on his favorite "Cars" pajamas.

When I was finished I gave him back his toy to which he cuddled and then pulled the blankets over him.

After I put on my pajamas I climbed into bed and tried to sleep, but every time I closed my eyes I saw my mother screaming and throwing her open palms at me.

I know, I really shouldn't dwell on this, we've never had a good relationship, but I hate leaving with everything still broken between us.

I quietly rose from the bed, grabbed my acoustic guitar and notepad then walked to the front area of the bus.

I sat down and opened the notepad before I positioned the guitar in my arms and began strumming random notes. When I was sure my guitar was tuned correctly I began adding pieces to a song I had been working on. So far I had only got my chorus down.

"Cause you were the worst, you tore me apart, made me feel like I had done everything wrong. Yes you were the worst turned all my dreams into nightmares as you tore me apart."

I couldn't think of what to add. I knew what my inspiration for the song was, what my pain was. I just didn't know how to put it into words.

I tried writing out a verse.

"You had me all over you, wrapped around your finger like a sucker on a stick. Funny how it goes, nights and days suddenly running together as we continuously fight. Yeah, days become night and dreams become nightmares. Only cause I wanted something out of you that doesn't exist. Wanted love from someone who wouldn't know love if it smacked them in the face. All I did was wreck my own life cause you were the worst and ya tore me apart. Made me feel like I had done everything wrong. Yeah you were the worst turned all my dreams into nightmares as you tore me apart."

I finished writing the words down as I thought of the notes I played along with the words until I heard a floorboard squeak. When I looked up, Chris was standing in the door way of the bunk rooms smiling.

"Sorry, did I wake you?"

"No, actually I couldn't sleep so I put in my earphones but then I heard something new. Turns out it was you."

I gave a small laugh. "Sorry I know I'm no good but it helps me relax."

"Actually you were great. What were you singing?" he walked over and sat next to me.

"A song I've been working on for awhile. I'm not sure why I'm so stomped on writing this one."

"Well, can I take a look at it?"

"Yeah." I handed him the notebook and turned back to my guitar, strumming the notes to another song I had written. When I looked up Chris was studying my lyrics.

"Ya know Jennifer. These could actually be turned into real songs. I'm willing to get you into the studio if you are."

I smiled. "Thanks but no thanks. I'm not one for playing in front of thousands of people."

"Well, how would you feel about writing songs for other bands?"

"I don't think my music is that great Chris." I laid my guitar on the other side of me and began to stand up but I was pulled back to the couch with a force I knew I couldn't fight.

"Look Jennifer. You really shouldn't doubt yourself. Your music is amazing. If you don't believe me, give me one of the songs you wrote and I'll give it to a band I know to play it. I am willing to bet the entire band that the fans will love it! Seriously!"

I sighed. "Fine, I'll let some bands see the songs and see what they want to do about it."

Chris smiled and kissed my cheek. I blushed and looked down only to receive a chuckle from Chris.

"Good, now c'mon we should be getting to bed." He closed my notebook and waited for me while I put my guitar back in it's case and then walked to the bunk room with me.

That night I slept peacefully with Angel snuggled into my chest.
