He Saw

After running around the amusement park all day with Angel everyone was tired. This time we decided to eat on the bus. Everyone ordered themselves food and then we climbed aboard.

I was sitting next to Angel at the kitchenette table playing with a bottle cap as he finished eating his chicken strips.

"Mommy?"

"Yes love."

"Can Chris sleep with us tonight?" I stopped and looked at Angel with a raised eyebrow.

"Why hun?"

"Because I saw the man from my dreams today."

Now both my eyebrows were raised in a shocked manner.

"It was just your imagination love."

"No mommy, he even smiled and waved at me and I saw him watching us as we got on the bus."

"Okay we'll have to talk to Chris about him sleeping with you."

"No, I want both of you there."

"Okay love let's go ask Chris."

"Ask Chris what?"

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." I giggled and Chris glared. "Angel here has a question for you."

"Is that so? Well what can I do for you Angel?"

"Sleep with me and mommy!"

"Well, only if your mommy is comfortable with it." he answered as he looked up at me with his perfectly drawn eyebrow raised.

"I'm fine with it." I nodded with a forced smile.

"Okay then, Angel why don't you go play for a little while with your toys."

Angel smiled and took off running for the backroom.

"What happened?" Chris question as soon as our son was out of earshot. I mean my son. Yeah, my son.

"He said he saw Tony today. And that he watched us get on the bus. Honestly, I thought I saw him today to but he disappeared in the crowd. What if he is after Angel?" I questioned as the first tear fell. "I would be so heartbroken without my son." I cried as Chris wrapped his arms around me in comfort.

"I won't let him. I'd give my life for you and Angel. I love you and I love Angel, so don't stress over this alright?" I nodded and quickly wiped away my tears as I heard Angel running back to us.

"Mommy! Mommy!" he practically screamed as I picked him up. "It's bath time!"

"That it is! Go get your underclothes and pajamas ready so you can take a shower."

"Okay!" And with that he was off to the back room again.
