-reader's pov-
another day of hell I guess, I got up brushed my teeth and fixed my hair all the sudden I get goosebumps, I always have the feeling that I'm being watched at all times even when I'm sleeping. Maybe I'm just paranoid where no body is home. Moms at work, little brother is at daycare and I'm the only one here. I walk back to my room picking out my clothes for school then quickly putting on some makeup.

I grab my backpack and start heading to school, I get that feeling again. I walk to school everyday and walk home it's pretty lonely so I put my headphones in and start listening to some beastie boys because I'm feeling the old school mood today. As I'm halfway to school my phone starts glitching, the music stopping then starting again. Then all the sudden my phone battery runs down all the way. 'Huh?' I thought. I shoved the phone in my bag and hurried the rest of the way to school.

~1st period~
My favorite period was first. Art. I needed to finish my project because it's due at the end of class. I start looking for my canvas that I was painting on. I couldn't find it anywhere. I look over and see someone in the corner sitting in a chair I couldn't see his face but he had blonde and black dreads. He was pointing to my canvas on the desk behind me. I turn and pick up the canvas, I go back to thank the stranger but there was no one there. An empty seat. I was so confused I shrugged it off then got a cold chill run up my spine.

~a few classes later, lunch time~
I got my lunch and sat down at an empty table, soon a few of my friends finally came over. "Hey guys" I smile while I eat my food. We chat for a bit until the time was cut short because I had some math and english work I needed to finish up. Walking into the math class room "hey (Y/N)! You can finish your work but I have lunch duty I'll see you 8th period" my teacher says I nod and take a seat in the back so I can really focus. I went straight to work. "2x+y=6z, this is a simple question why can't I figure this out?" I say to myself sighing. Suddenly an idea popped into my head the answer sheet is on the teachers desk. I got up and made my way to his desk, shuffling through the papers. I had a feeling again I look up and see the stranger from earlier sitting on my desk waving his finger at me signaling "no". I looked at him for a good 10 seconds before he disappeared. I was in shock I've never seen something like this. Then I heard a voice in my head: "cheating isn't gonna get you nowhere" I let go of the papers and go back to my seat "you know what voice in my head? You right." I'll just finish it in 8th when the teacher can actually help me, I shove the papers back in my bag and exit the classroom.

~after school~
I was on the way home I saw lighting, then felt rain drops on me. I decided to start running home before the rain got worse. I made it home safely and soundly my mother greeted me and my little brother gave me a hug "sissy your all wet!" He let's go of me. I giggle at him. "Your too cute" I say while heading upstairs to do homework.

I change into something comfortable and go to the bathroom to wash my makeup off, i rinse off my face then look in the mirror. I don't see myself I see the stranger, he had the number 17 tattooed on the side of his head, and other face tattoos, his eyes were very dark. I went to scream but couldn't it's like he put me on mute completely. "Shhhhh" He said quietly then everything went black.

~an hour later~
I woke up in my bed feeling dizzy, I look and see the guy from earlier this time I wasn't so scared for some reason, I was immune to it almost. "Looks like sleeping beauty finally woke up" he turned his head my way. "I know your wondering who the hell I am. I'm jahseh, I'm a demon, I've been watching over you for a while" he explains himself to me. "I-If your a demon then why are you so nice to me?" I ask "good question (Y/N), I'm trying to lean to use my negative energy for positive things, as in protecting you at all cost." I stare at him wow he's actually not bad looking for a demon boy. "I can read your mind too ya know." He laughs. I blush in response "sooo how long have you been watching me?" He sits on the bed in front of me "for about 2 years, I've witnessed all your heartbreaks, victories, biggest accomplishments, when you get picked on, bullied, everything." I felt myself tear up a little bit "now I can fully protect you, no one will hurt you. Ever." He finishes "this is crazy" I say wiping my eyes, I hear my little brother calling me from outside the door. "remember (Y/N) I'm always with you" he disappears again as soon as my brother enters my room "mommy said foods ready and I wanna eat with you" he pulls me downstairs for dinner. What a day.
