Klaine: falling for you

Chapter 1: intro/expositon

Kurt awoke to the loud, obnoxious noise coming from his alarm clock. He moaned as he turned it off, and picked his head up to look at his phone. It was September 7th, 6:00 am—also known as the first day of school. Kurt put his phone down as he slowly took off his covers and got up from bed. He had been dreading this day for 3 months, ever since the first day of summer vacation. Kurt despised school. The classes were boring and difficult, he didn't have many friends, and worst of all, he was the main target of all the bullies. It was obvious why the football players chose to bully Kurt, He was in the lamest club of them all: glee club. Not to mention he was the only openly gay kid at McKinley. Everyday Kurt would get shoved into lockers, and have slushes thrown at his face. He is glad, however, it isn't as bad as it used to be. Freshman year Kurt was extremely shy, overwhelmed, and had zero confidence. He had no friends to help him through what he had to expirence. Nowadays, Kurt has his friends from glee, and his step-brother Finn Hudson, who is the captain and quarterback of the football team. The jocks from glee club can usually get the bullies off of Kurt's case, which Kurt is very thankful for. Kurt's thoughts were interrupted by the yelling of his father's voice.

"Kurt, you better start getting ready! You shouldn't be late on your first day!"

"I am Dad! I'll be down there soon!" One thing Kurt enjoys about in the morning is getting ready. Normally, he takes a shower, does his skincare routine, carefully considers and selects an outfit, and fixes his hair. Unfortunately, with his Dad rushing him, he would have to quickly picking the first outfit he sees. Kurt walks down the steps noticing Carole, Kurt's step-mom, making some eggs, his dad reading a newspaper, and Finn eating a hamburger. Most days, Kurt would lecture to Finn how hamburgers arn't breakfast foods and he should start eating healthier. However, Kurt didn't have the energy or focus. Kurt sat down at the table with his family. He had a very small portion of the sizzling scrambled food. Kurt added just a hint of pepper, and devoured the food with such grace.

"Thank you Carole for the eggs. They were excellent as always." Kurt complimented.

"Aw thank you honey." Carole replied with a smile.

"Well we better get going if we want to be on time." Finn suggested.

"Alright you two boys have a good first day and take care of each other, alright?" Kurt's dad said.

"Of course." The two boys answered. They walked out of the house, and into Finn's car.

"Are you ready man?" Finn questions do Kurt.

"I suppose so." Kurt stated with a nervous look on his face.
