Chapter 14

Ash's pov
Previous night

"Hi dad."

"Ash you need to come home"

He was the only one who called me ash.

"Dad I can't, I can't handle it"

"You need to learn to deal with people you hate. Like your mother. But I know you can do this hun" I've always loved my dad.
"Let me stay here for a few more weeks so I can figure this out" I couldn't see him but I knew he was smiling.

"3 weeks max got it?" 
"Ok" there was a long awkward pause "well good night ash call me once you've made up your mind"

I said goodbye and hung up the phone. I laid down on jacks very uncomfortable couch and stared at the ceiling.

3 weeks.

Present

I sat on the couch watching tv when I heard someone walk through the door I looked back and it was Jackson.

He had tears rolling down his cheeks and bruises on his arms and face. I quickly got up and ran over to him.

"Jackson what happened!?" I asked frantically holding his arms to his side. "Mason happened" he cried, I then noticed a bruise right above his eyebrow. "What did mason do" I asked he looked up at me and got angry "look at my face what else did he do" he screamed. I let go of his arms and went towards the door. "Where are you going" he asked still crying, "to masons house he's not getting away with this" I said closing the door.

I walked the 10 blocks to masons house. When I got there I knocked on the door.

Mason answered. "Oh hey ash what's up" I don't know why but I got angrier "why the hell does jack have bruises everywhere!" I yelled. He grabbed my arm and brought me inside and we started heading to his room.

He closed the door once we got there. "Listen ash it was some stupid jocks." He said. I sat down on his bed "he said you did It" I sighed, mason sat next to me on the bed and put his hand on my thigh.

"I would never hurt him ash" I put my head in my hands "I know I'm just being over protective I guess". He started to rub my inner thigh in a gentle way trying to tell me that it's gonna be okay without words.

I stood up with out a warning and went back down the stairs to the front door, mason calling my name behind me. I started walking the ten blocks again but before I got to the 1st masons car drove up next to me.

"Ash come on get in, I'm not letting you walk ten blocks" mason said from his window. I ignored him and kept walking. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I took it out and looked at the I.D and it was jack. "Hey jack what's up you feeling better" I asked in a sweet tone.

"Ash this is Jackson's mom and I think Jackson tried to kill himself" his mom said. I dropped my phone and started running to jacks house.
