For the next couple days Scotty goes to The Sandlot, as he calls it. But today he came home from the pool cause it was burning outside. And he got kicked out. Kicked out!
"Scotty! I'm glad you made friends, but I never said it was okay for you to get kicked out of the pool!" My mom tells him angrily.
"I'm sorry mom! I really am!" He says.
"If you can't handle yourself then I'll just have Marjie watch you." My mom tells him.
"What?" He asks.
"I have to watch him!" I look at my mom.
"All you've done this summer is sit at home!" She tells me. "Maybe you'll make some friends."
"With those boys?" I ask thinking about them.
"Sure." She shrugs. "I expect you to watch Scotty, don't let him get into any trouble."
"Fine." I groan. "What time do you wake up?" I look at him.
"8:00." He tells me smiling. Great my summer is ruined. Wait, Benny will be there. So maybe it won't be too bad.
"Okay." I smile back, thinking about all the time I'll get to spend with Benny.
