"Excuse me"

Brendon heard a soft voice and felt a light tap on his shoulder. He turned away from his locker and moved his head just a little down to the pale boy in front of him. He didn't look familiar.

"I was wondering if you could help me find my classes. I'm new here and i'm not really used to this indoor school environment."

The pale boy seemed so shy, he could've asked anyone for help, but for some reason Brendon looked the friendliest to him.

"Sure, I'll help you...what's your name?"

"Ryan, Ryan Ross"

"Alright, Ryan, Ryan ross. I'm Brendon Urie, but everybody just calls me Brendon."

Brendon closes his locker and asks Ryan for his schedule. He glances through the classes and teachers names. He recognized a few.

"Looks like we got first period together, English."

"oh really?"

"Yeah"

Brendon leans a little close to Ryan to show him. Ryan tenses up and scoots a bit to the side so he wasn't so close to the tall brunette boy. Brendon notices Ryan's slight movement and he clears his throat.

"okay, well lets start the tour, Ryan. Your first class is just down the hall..."

"And that's just about it. The bell is about ring, lets start heading to class."

"Actually, I gotta use the restroom, how about I meet you there?"

"I need to use the restroom too,  actually"

The boys head to the restroom and all Ryan could think about was how awkward the situation felt. Ryan felt uneasy the whole time he was Brendon. He wanted to get away from him, just to get a quick breather, but he would not go away. It was so bothersome to Ryan. It was his first day and he was already going to have a full on attack. The feeling deep in his stomach just wouldn't go away.

They finished up and headed to first period.

Ryan ended up being sat just behind Brendon. How fortunate for him, he thought to himself sarcastically. From Ryan's peripheral vision, he could see Brendon turn in his seat to face him.

"Hey, how coincidental, huh?" Brendon flashed a bright smile to Ryan

"Y-yup" Ryan said softly

"Ryan, I can barely hear you with that whisper voice you got going on, come on speak up" Brendon chuckled.

The feeling in Ryan's stomach started churning as he stared longer at Brendon's shiny smile and his cool brown eyes. Ryan quickly shifted his eyes back to his paper and continued his work. He couldn't figure out what was the matter with him.

Finally it was the end of school, for some reason it felt like an eternity and for others it went by in a flash. Ryan couldn't wait to get in the bus, listen to his music during the ride and enjoy the breeze from the small window.

"Ryan! Hey! Ryan Ross!"

But Ryan had to just wait for that some other day.

"Brendon, I'm sorry I really need to get on the bus."

"I can give you a ride home. I want to get to know you a bit more."

Ryan was screeching in his head and his stomach just wouldn't stop bugging him.

"Okay" Ryan flashed a faint smile to Brendon.

They walked out into the parking lot and started the search for Brendon's car.

"So Ryan, It's your senior year, why is it that you moved to a new school in the middle of the year?"

"You know the story, Dad got a new job and we had to move to a whole new place, because this job paid better."

"Hm...How old are you?"

"I'm 17. You?"

"18, ha I'm older and taller" Brendon gave that same chuckle from earlier and he gave a sly smile.

Ryan couldn't help but stare. He was distracted by the sound of a loud car horn.

"Here's my beauty."

Brendon opened the door for Ryan out of the kindness of his heart. Ryan thanked him and sat himself down. The big foreheaded boy walked to the driver side and hopped into his seat and started the drive.

"What's your address, Ryan?"

"1743 northern dr., La Vista"

"oooh this is going to be a long drive."

It was mostly quiet, except for the radio that was playing in the background. Ryan rolled down his window and let the breeze hit his face, he felt calmer. The smell of early autumn and the sight of tree leaves that were a slight shade of orange and brown made Ryan enjoy the car ride more. Brendon would glance over at Ryan every so often, he wanted to ask him more questions, but he enjoyed the sight of his new friend. Ryan didn't notice, but Brendon would take a longer glance each time they reached a stop. With each look, Brendon could feel his heart melt over and over again. He couldn't understand how someone as stunning as Ryan could just show up out of the blue and make him feel this way.

They were just five minutes away. Ryan could feel the awkward feeling come again. He held to his backpack tightly, pulling it to his small chest. Brendon began to tighten up as well. Sure, the drive was long, but it felt too soon to end for him.

Brendon pulled up to the curb, "Is this your place?"

"yup" Ryan said with relief, the day couldn't have been any longer for him, yet this feeling of sadness overwhelmed him suddenly.

"Ryan?" Brendon said in a soft-gentle voice

Ryan could feel his heart reach his throat, it was beating hard and it hurt him a little, he had a feeling like something big was about to happen. Ryan looked into Brendon's milk chocolate eyes. The pale boy with scruffy brown hair looked at every inch of Brendon's face, as he looked longer he felt his heart beat get harder and harder.

Brendon let out and deep sigh, "Uh so how did you like your first day of school"

"um it was alright, pretty confusing, but I'm sure you'll be able to help me along the way" Ryan said in his soft tone

Brendon's hands started shaking a little, he couldn't get enough of that boy's soft sweet voice. He wanted to take so many mental pictures of him. He couldn't help himself.

"So was that all you need to say?"

Brendon looked down and back up at Ryan. He wanted to do it so badly. His thoughts were disrupted by the sound of  the car door opening. Brendon reached over to Ryan's door and closed it shut.

"Wait...There's just one thing."

Ryan was surprised and his heart was basically begging to lunge out of his mouth. He was frozen in his seat. Brendon adjusted himself in his seat and locked his eyes with Ryan. In a mere second, Brendon had pulled Ryan's small and beautifully figured face to his and kissed his chapped, yet soft pink lips. The butterflies exited each boys stomach and no longer did Ryan feel the pain he did. With just that one kiss, Ryan felt it all piece together. He pulled Brendon closer to  make the kiss last just a little longer. With just that one pull, Brendon could feel his heart explode from the touch of Ryan. Brendon didn't want this to end. He wanted this to last forever.

But in the same moment this kiss started and flourished, it was put to an end by a slight knock on the window of Brendon's car from an older man that came from Ryan's house.
