not broken, just bent

- proposal -

Michael walked into the coffee shop, with his boyfriend of a year and half. Their hands intertwined and there were smiles on both of their faces. They were happy, their lives were finally good and they were finally happy.

As happy as Michael was, he was even more nervous. He was surprised Luke hadn't realized he was shaking.

They took a seat at the booth they sat the first time they came there.

"I feel like this is kind of our place, you know?" Luke asked with a smile on his face.

Michael nodded. "well, this is where we went on our first date"

"I know" Luke replied, a smile still on his face.

"are you going to go order now?" Michael asked, nervous.

"yeah, do you want anything mikey?"

"no, I'm good, thanks though babe" Michael told him.

Michael sat at the table watching Luke order. He loved that boy, he loved him a lot. They'd been through so much in the past year and a half, but everything they went through had been worth it. Luke was special, Michael had always known that. Luke made him feel so many things at once, Luke was the reason he wanted to wake up in the morning. Never in a million years did Michael think he'd ever find someone like Luke.

Luke sat back down at the booth minutes later with a bottle of water and a plate with a muffin on it.

"are you sure you don't want anything?"

Michael nodded. "I'm not really hungry"

Michael was tapping his foot anxiously as Luke ate.

"you seem nervous Mikey, is something wrong?" Luke asked, looking concerned.

"what? no, I'm good. How's your muffin?" Michael asked, quickly changing the subject. 

"it's really good actually, want a  bite?"

Michael shook his head. "I'll have one later"

Luke shurgged. "okay"

After a few more minutes of silence Michael broke it.

"do you want a napkin?"

"sure"

Michael took a napkin from his pocket and gave it to Luke.

"thanks" Luke smiled as he took it.

Michael watched as Luke set the napkin down without looking at it, he tapped his fingers anxiously on the table as he waited for Luke to notice.

Luke continued eating for a bit longer before he went to grab the napkin. He looked down at it and saw there was writing.

"Michael, why does the napkin say "Marry me?"  did you-" Luke started to say but stopped when he saw Michael get out of his seat and kneel on the ground.

 Luke put a hand over his mouth in disbelief.

"well I had this whole speech planned out but I'm kind of nervous as hell, so basically I love you so much. I'm in love with you. you mean so much to me and I couldn't imagine a day without you by my side. I wouldn't want to. You're the most amazing person I know. I want to travel the world with you and wake up next to you every morning. I want to be the guy you trust and the guy that's always there for you. I love you more than I can put into words, I love everything about you. I love that adorable look you get when you talk about things you love, I love your giggle and I love how you look at me. I've loved you since the moment I laid my eyes on you and I know I'll never stop. So, Luke, my best friend, my amazing boyfriend, my one true love, will you marry me?"

Luke nodded and smiled, his eyes becoming wet. "I love you so much Michael"

"I love you too Lukey, always will" Michael told him as he slipped the ring on Luke's finger.

The two shared a sweet kiss, then the rest of Luke's muffin.

A/N: hey guys, so I know I said I'm done with this series but some of you were a bit upset about that so I decided I'd add one more little part for you guys. In the end of the last chapter, you saw they were married so this is how their propsal went.
