Leona turned the corner around the park, it was the last lap of her run and the muscles in her legs where starting to feel like bricks but she pushed on.

It was four in the morning, too early for anyone to be out running. Old habits die hard.

She reached her start off bench and put her hands on her knees from exhaustion, getting into a crouching position. After taking a few deeps breaths to calm her fast beating heart, she took a sip of her water and was just about to sit down when a white dog came running towards her almost making her lose her balance.

"Woah there buddy." She said rubbing the dog's fluffy head. "Where did you come from? Got an owner?"

She heard the rushed approaching footsteps behind her but didn't turn around.

"Yes he does, but it ain't me." A man said from behind her. She looked over at him, taking a few seconds to study him.

He was well built, definitely from working out a lot. He had dark brown hair and bright green eyes. He looked about twenty seven.

"If you aren't the owner then why bother answering?" She asked while trying to calm the dog that looked like it wanted to jump on her.

The man grabbed the dog's leash and tugged it gently then made a hand signal that caused the dog to sit. "Because I'm babysitting, and coco is a sneaky little devil."

The dog let out a low whimper, as if reacting to what was said about him.

"Well maybe its because you're taking him out at four in the morning, it's still dark out." She said taking her intended seat on the bench.

"Well it seems to be normal since you're out here jogging too. Why are you jogging so early?"

"Because I can."

"Okay well since we're both here, why don't you join Coco and I on our walk?" He said tugging slowly on Coco's leash making the dog stand up from its sitting position.

"No thanks, I'm exhausted."

"The best way to stretch after a run is to take a walk, everyone knows that."

"And everyone is who exactly?" She asked arching an amused eyebrow.

"Uhm, only every runner that ever existed?" He asked not sure of the statement himself.

"Well if that's the case, then I should definitely walk" She said standing up and the man's face lit up with a victorious smile.

"The walk from here to my house should be enough to stretch my bones." She said walking away in the opposite direction. "Enjoy your walk, make sure that Coco doesn't run into anyone else."

The man's face fell but a amused smile soon replaced the look.

"He never does. I'm surprised he ran to you. Can't blame him though, he has good taste." He said patting the dog's head.

She continued walking, not answering him.

"Your name!" He shouted after her. "I'm Chandler!"

"Leona!" She shouted back before turning the corner. She didn't bother looking back, she knew he had a smile on his face, similar to the one she had on hers.
