"Did you finish you're english assignment?" Logan asked Freddie as she took hers out for early submission.

"You do realize that he technically didn't even give it to us yet, right?" Freddie asked grinning.

"Yes he did."

"No he didn't. He mentioned an upcoming assignment and you hounded him for the handout, how am I supposed to be finished with an assignment I didn't get yet?" He raised a questioning eyebrow.

Logan rolled her eyes. "You would think that I would at least be blessed with friends that can keep up."

"You are. I keep up with your violent side, your grumpy side, your boyish side and your extremely girly side. Keeping up with your intellect quality is pushing it, don't you think?"

"Whatever." She muttered standing up to go hand in her assignment. Freddie grabbed her arm, stopping her.

He reached into his bag and took out a red portfolio file. "Here, I finished it last week. He's handing it out this Friday, due for Monday and you know I don't like rushed work."

Logan smiled. Grabbing the file she walked towards the front handing in her and Freddie's assignments much to Mr Bingley's approval just as the bell for lunch rang.

She walked towards the door and Freddie handed her her bag as he caught up.

"I'm going on the Runtec trip after lunch." He said as they walked towards the cafeteria.

"I know." Logan said as they turned the corner leading to the double doors of the room.

Runtec was an IT company that had chosen a select few of the students to tour the company. Naturally, they chose the best computer students in the school which Logan wasn't a part of seeing as she couldn't have cared less about the depths of a computer, as long as she knew the basic in and out. Freddie on the other hand, was a freaking computer genius.

"You'll be okay?" Freddie asked as they stepped into the cafeteria, different conversations immediately mixing with their own.

"What in the world do you think would happen if you left me alone? I'd cause an earthquake?" She asked playfully.

"I'm just making sure. I don't really have to go you know."

"There's no way you're missing this trip Freddie." Logan said seriously. "I'll be fine. I've got the rest of our friends to bother."

They reached their table and sat down, joining their group of friends.

"He definitely has a thing for you Regina." Anna said in her gossipy voice. Logan knew immediately that they were not supposed to be having this conversation.

"Who?" Freddie asked.

"Mr Hunter." Michael answered with a bored tone and Logan rolled her eyes. Not again.

"I thought he had a thing for Logan." Luther said biting into his sandwich.

"No I totally misread that." Anna said sipping her juice. "He likes Logan in a teacher kind of way because she's a good sportsman. But he was totally checking you out G."

"You sure that you're also not misreading him checking me out?" Regina asked.

"Nope! I'm positive this time." Anna whisper screamed.

"Okay if that's the case then I'm so asking for his numbers." Regina said and every head at the table turned to her with shocked expressions. Every head except Anna's, that had a triumphant expression.

"Chill, I'm just kidding. The man is like fifteen years older than me! Ewww!" Regina said making all of them burst out in laughter and Anna scowl.

This was lunchtime everyday for Logan and she couldn't help but to be grateful for her friends. They were all so different that she had often wondered how they ever worked in the first place.

After lunchtime, Logan said her goodbye's to Freddie as he headed off in the direction of the parking lot where the school bus was waiting.

She was just about to enter her next class when she remembered that Freddie had her book because he was behind on notes. She rushed towards the parking lot but stopped in her tracks as soon as she turned the corner outside the school.

The scene before her burning deep into her heart and cutting straight through her soul. She backed away and turned the corner before they spotted her and supported her weight on the wall feeling herself on the verge of tears.

She wiped away the stray tears that had escaped and walked back into the school, shoulders high with tension and face as emotionless as a brick wall. She sat through her next class barely registering what was being said and not even bothering to take down notes. The scene replayed itself in her head, tormenting her.

When the bell rang, she was the first person to leave the class, walking through the hallways that were quickly becoming crowded but not registering the commotion.

"Logan." Came a voice from behind her. A voice that dripped the venom of a snake. 'Quite fitting for the person it belonged to' Logan thought.

"Leave me alone Jen." She said not even looking behind her.

"But why would I do that?" Jennifer answered smugly and Logan turned to face her, fists clenched.

"Because then maybe you might just walk away in one piece." She answered between gritted teeth.

"Oh please." Jennifer said waving her hand in the air dramatically. "Nothing could put off my high today, especially not an orphan like you."

Logan looked at her, jaw clenched as she took a step towards her. "I. Am. Not. An. Orphan."

"You might as well be." Jennifer said then took a step towards her her smile widening. "And you won't believe who had his hands all.."

She didn't have a chance to finish her sentence as Logan grabbed her hair and threw her against the lockers, hitting her in the stomach with her knees then slapping her across the face continuously until she felt four hands pulling her back.

Luther and Michael held her back and she didn't even notice the crowd that had formed around her. She looked at Jennifer who was on the ground struggling to get up and smiled.

"Isn't someone going to help me!" Jennifer shouted which made some people dart towards her to help her up.

"Logan, Jennifer, my office. Now!" Mr King said turning away from the scene. Logan only now realized that he was there.

"Mr King! She's psychotic!" Jennifer said finally standing up straight.

Logan smiled and eyed her handy work. Swollen face, disheveled hair and untidy clothes.

"You remember that next time you try to cross me." She said before turning and following Mr King.
