4 "Does this look like a dating site?"

"Morning, what can I get you?" Leona asked the blond haired man.

"Why not 'good' morning?" The man asked with a challenging look.

Leona resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "Because I'm not certain that you are having a good morning. I don't like assuming." She answered in a flat tone.

"Mhm, interesting. What's your name." The man asked.

"Leona. What can I get you?"

"Leona." He repeated the name as if getting his mouth accustomed to the sound. "Aren't you going to ask me what my name is?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because it isn't necessary. What can I get you?" She asked again hiding the irritation in her voice.

The man let out a small laugh and shook his head. "I'm Isaac. I'll just have a coffee, black, no sugar."

Leona couldn't hide the disgust on her face.

Isaac laughed again. "Not a fan of dark coffee?"

"You made it worse when you said no sugar." Leona said.

"Everyone has their preferences." Isaac responded not looking the least bit offended.

"Very true." Megan said showing up behind Leona. "You shouldn't be commenting on the customer's taste."

She turned towards Isaac. "Hi, I'm Megan. Would you like me to take over from here?"

"No." Isaac said not sparing her a second glance which made Leona smile but had the opposite effect on Megan.

"How do you prefer your coffee Leona?" Isaac asked.

Leona smiled. "Creamy with just the right amount of sweetness."

"That sounds about perfect. I'll have that." A familiar voice said from behind Leona.

She turned to find Chandler looking at her.

"Leona. What a pleasant surprise."

"Chandler." She said in curt acknowledgement. "I'll get your coffees."

"Do we need two waitresses?" She heard Chandler asking as she walked away followed by a huff and and a stomping Megan.

She handed her order and stood behind the counter as Nia made the coffees.

"You know them?" Nia asked while she made the coffee.

"Not really, I met Chandler briefly on my morning run on Monday."

"Ooooh. He's the smile maker!" Nia said in an excited voice.

"Smile maker?" Leona asked confused.

"Yes! You were smiling the whole day on Monday. You were even humming! It got to the point where I was genuinely creeped out!"

"I was not!"

"You so were! And I can see why. Which one's Chandler? Green eyed hunk or blond cutie?" She asked setting the coffee on the trays.

"Green eyes." Leona said taking the coffees and walking away. She heard Nia squeal and let out a "so hot" behind her.

"Your coffees." She said setting it down on their table. The two men stopped talking and turned their attention to her.

"So I heard you met Coco." Isaac said.

Leona nodded. "I'm guessing you're the owner?"

"In the flesh. I also heard you were out jogging at four am."

"You heard right." She said holding the round tray against her stomach and glaring at Chandler. He had an amused smile.

"Why so early?" Isaac asked.

"Why do I feel like I'm being interrogated?" She asked.

"We're just making friendly conversation." Chandler said.

"Or being nosy." She answered. "Have you decided on what to eat?"

"Why the rush to serve? Are we boring?" Chandler asked.

"I get paid to serve, not chat."

"But the customer's wants are important." Isaac said.

"True. And that's why I asked for your order, that way I can get you what you want within our capabilities. You want to chat, try a call center." She said.

Isaac had a stunned expression on his face and Chandler laughed.

"Your order?" She repeated.

"I'll take the special." Isaac said and she looked over at Chandler for his response.

"I'll take the same." He said.

"Wait!" Chandler said just as she was about to walk away. "Is it within your capabilities to have dinner with me?"

Leona blinked fast in surprise before regaining her posture. "Does this look like a dating site?"

Isaac choked on his coffee as the laughter interrupted the smooth flow of the liquid down his throat.

Chandler seemed unfazed. He sat back in his chair and smiled. Leona rolled her eyes and walked away.
