"I think it's a bit too much Nia." Leona whined as she eyed herself in the mirror even though she was secretly pleased with the look.
She had never been so dressed up in her life. Nia brought up all the beauty that had been hidden behind her tough military upbringing.
"Girl please." Nia rolled her eyes. "You're a goddess and tonight you look every bit the part. I am so jealous right now."
Lean turned towards Nia with an incredulous look on her face. "Nia! What's there to be jealous about? Have you seen yourself?"
Nia was Latina with long beach curly hair, light brown eyes and full lips. She was so beautiful in Leona's eyes.
"Yes I have seen myself and yes I'm pretty damn hot, but a girl can get jealous sometimes." Nia said making them both burst out in laughter.
"But seriously though." Nia said her expression turning soft. "You are so beautiful Lee."
Leona looked in the mirror at herself for the first time agreeing with Nia. She had long silky black hair that she had gotten from her mom, who was of Japanese descendent and brown eyes from her dad, American.
She had always thought that she looked sort of peculiar, but tonight she wondered why.
She eyed the peach dress that she was wearing, it stopped just before the knees and had a semi-deep neckline. It was tight at the waist accenting the curves that she had just recently grown out. She really looked good.
She applied a layer of dark maroon lipstick and walked down the stairs, Nia hot at her tail.
"What are you doing?" Nia asked, stopping her halfway down the stairs.
"I'm going downstairs to wait for him." She responded confused.
Nia facepalmed and shook her head. "That isn't how it works. You're suppose to be upstairs when he gets here. I'll invite him in and call you, then you'll walk down the stairs while he watches and his jaw hits the ground from the shock of your beauty."
"That's stupid." Leona answered laughing making her wobble in her heels a little.
"Woah easy there." Nia said steadying her. "And no its not stupid. Now lets go back upstairs and watch him pull up from my bedroom window."
Leona groaned and was just about to comply when the door bell rang.
"Damn it! It's too late now. Okay, stay right here!" Nia said and ran down the stairs to open the door.
"Chandler, hey." Leona heard Nia say and wondering if she should just keep standing there or walk down the stairs. She stood.
"She should be down now, come this way." She heard her say and her breath caught in her throat as he came into her view.
He was wearing a dark blue dress shirt with formal pants, a black blazer on top that did nothing to hide his biceps. His hair was combed back but a few strands were falling out of the perfectly combed formation. He's bright green eyes sparkling to match his killer smile.
She gulped down on nothing out of nervousness and started walking down the stairs, grabbing his attention.
He turned and looked at her, his gaze sweeping over her body then settling on her face and staying there. The heat rising up in her body as she reached the last step and he took her hand, pulling her slightly into him.
"Chandler." She said as if out of breath. Hell she was pretty sure that the air had just vanished from the room.
"Leona, you look absolutely beautiful." He said, his warm breath tickling her chin.
"Thank you." She replied shyly and then a flash went off, followed by a click.
They both turned their heads towards Nia who was putting her phone back in her pocket. I'm sorry guys, I just couldn't help it. You guys look so damn hot!" She said barely containing her excitement.
Chandler let out a low laugh and leona smiled turning pink at the cheeks from the effects that his laugh had on her. She hoped the make up had that covered.
"We had better get going." He said and Leona nodded, bidding farewell to Nia before walking out the door.

"So, what do you think?" Chandler said motioning around with his hand.
Leona looked around. The scenery was beautiful. They were at a roof top restaurant that was decorated with fairy lights and had a spectacular view.
Every table had a different flower arrangement on it and there was a band playing soft music on the stage. Everything about it screamed 'romantic!'.
"It's beautiful, very romantic." She answered honestly and Chandler smiled.
"I didn't know if I was going too overboard. All I knew was that I had been asking you out for too long to mess up on our first date." He said looking around as if questioning his option.
Leona laughed. "Chandler honestly, this is perfect. I couldn't have imagined it being better."
He's shoulders relaxed and the waiter came over, taking their orders and telling them it would be ready in about fifteen minutes then coming back with their drinks. They both ordered red wine.
"Why did it take you so long to say yes?" Chandler asked catching Leona off guard.
Leona shifted uncomfortably in her seat, Chandler's eyes feeling as if they were looking into her soul.
"I guess I was just nervous."
"Why?" He asked taking a sip of his wine.
"I just wanted to make sure that you were serious, I thought it was all a joke."
"Did I give you reason to believe that I wasn't serious?" He asked leaning into the table, studying her.
She shook her head indicating no.
"I just." She began but stumbled on her words. Chandler encouraged her to continue.
"I just have never been on a date before. I've never been asked." She said almost whispering the last part.
Chandler's eyes looked like they were about to burst out of its sockets.
He stood up and pulled his chair closer to hers, so that they were side by side and turned to her. He caressed her cheek as she looked into his eyes, eyes that she would surely get lost in if she kept staring.
"I can't believe that no one has ever taken the opportunity to witness such beauty." He said softly. "Not that I'm complaining, it makes me that much more intrigued by you."
He leaned in and softly kissed her cheeks and she leaned into his warmth. Taking in his citrus smell.
They pulled away from each other when the waiter came to serve their food. Smiling at them sweetly, no doubt because of their position.
"This looks delicious." Leona said eyeing her food.
"Hopefully it tastes just as good." Chandler replied putting the first forkful in his mouth, Leona followed suit.
She moaned out in delight from the flavours that burst in her mouth.
Chandler dropped his fork and knife and stared at Leona with clenched jaws. She looked up at him with a confused look.
"You do that again and my food won't be the only thing that I'll be eating tonight." He said.
She instantly felt herself become a thousand degrees hotter. What in the world did she get herself into?
