The girl with golden hair (Harry Potter fanfic); Papillon98
summary
When a boy, who's already lost everything, and a girl, who can't help but question what she has, meet, it's like destiny itself brought the two together.
Artemis Lupin is a young witch with an air of charm and sarcasm. She has a way of getting on your nerves yet you can't help but like her. But underneath that seemingly 'open book' lies a girl who never belonged. Even though she's supposed to be a member of a high status pureblooded family, she's always had trouble adapting to their rules. Nobody knows exactly how much she's struggling with herself and the nightmare that never seems to go away. As she tries to prevent her friend from getting killed because of his dangerous curiosity and disability to think ahead, she gets sucked more and more into the mystery of the Philosopher's Stone. ~~~~The girl with golden hair is the first book in the Artemis Lupin series. She was used to investigating mysteries on her own. People were untrustworthy. They lied. They tried to change the past. But the past couldn't be changed. Her own past was complicated. Especially because she wasn't the one hiding it, it was kept from her. For a good reason, they thought. The dream was her only lead. The only way to figure it all out. The dream was simply the end of a curse and the beginning of a nightmare. Because some secrets are better kept secret. The web of lies and deceit only got more complicated. Family members talked out of turn. The wise man was far too interested and the dark saw the truth in her eyes. Because her dream was simply the story. The story of betrayal, friendship but mostly death. But the thing that could ruin it all, was the very thing they couldn't change. It was the only truth in the past of lies. Her grey eyes and his black blood.~Completed on June 20 2016~

okk. this book is amazingg. what i really admire about this book is how interconnected it is in the sense of magic. the author really has bestowed a cool concept of magic from harry potter that is usually lacking in harry potter fanfictions. regular fanfictions normally don't go this indepth into the storyline and plotline. however this story does. the only thing i really don't like about this book is how the character is a bit like a mary sou. while there is alot of character development, her personality and characteristics is very generic. it doesn't make it boring in any way, as the plotline is literally insane but it does make the main character seem a bit-perfect in a sense? as in she gets all the guys, she's smart, she's brave, she has alot of friends, she's kind, etc. the author did incorporate a few flaws like her stubbornness and how rash she is but i don't think it's enough to live up to her... perfectness? (idrk how to describe it)
but other than that, i really really like this book. it is a series, but a damn good one if i may. definitely one of my favorites! and even though i did say that the main character is a bit of a mary sou, please don't let that stop you from reading it. it wouldn't be in this book if i wouldn't recommend it to a friend haha.
