Gresham raised his hand proudly with a hopeful glint in his eyes. I giggled at his childish behavior and locked arms with him. "I guess It's us versus the Space Gun" I gave him one of my evil laugh and admire the horrendous machine flinging people up in the sky repeatedly followed by both screams of joy and horror. I looked over to Gresham gulping with wide eyes staring at the Space Gun with terror in his eyes. "You ready Gres?" I asked him slowly. He seemed to snapped out of it and look at me questionly. I laughed at him being silly and asked him again with the same question as before.
"I don't know" He shrugged slowly, "well maybe" He confirmed. I tighten our locked arms and as the breeze past by my stray hair, we're up.
"Good luck!" Marsha chimed loudly passing by us while holding up Cody's shaking body. I showed her my thumb up and turned towards Gresham. He was shook by the state Cody is in. "C'mom Gres" I shocked him into realization "I'm here man" I assured him soothingly and tugged him forward to find our seat. We were seated perfectly in the middle while the worker that worked at the fun fair secured our metal harnesses over our shoulder. "Is this even safe?" Gresham starts to panic. Hm now that I thought about it, the worker did just put over the metal harness swiftly on us and this ride has no seatbelt at all. With realization hitting both me and Gresham, it was already too late. The Space Gun have been fired.
at first it started to swing slowly rising 5 feet from the ground. Gresham kept repeating "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD" while I silently held onto the harness for dear life. As it began to swing 360° in the sky, my harness clicked forward like it's about to open. "IT IS NOT FUCKING SAFE AT ALL!" I screamed out while Gresham held my shoulder in a weird angle, holding for dear life. "I REGRET GETTING ON HERE" Gresham screamed at me while his tears were sliding off of his face. After a few minutes of turning round and round 360° in the air, the machine decided to stop mid air with us hanging upside down.
Click. Click. "I'M GONNA DIE IM GONNA DIE IM GONNA DIE!" I chanted. One of my arm was pushing the metal harness back into its place and another pushing onto the seat infront of me, keeping me in place. And don't get me started at how I managed to held my feet onto the floor. I counted the seconds we've stayed in this position before being swung round and round again. The swinging finally softens and the ride has ended.
I looked over Gresham and he looked like he've seen a ghost. "That was fun" I stated, trying to hide how horrified I was. "Fun?" He exclaimed quietly. I laughed at him then we laughed together to shake of the terror we've gone through. I tried to push open the metal harness but it wouldn't budge. That's weird, just a while ago it was threatening to be open. The worker came and unlocked the metal harness easily. What is this sorcery!
We both met up with the rest of the geng including Marsha and Cody and spilled out what we felt after the ride. "The metal harness got me too!" Cody fumed angrily. "I guess it's just part of the scare tactic" Klark voiced. "I would ride again but this time without feeling like I was about to die" I squeaked, still shaking the traumatic event off of my shoulders.
After a ride at the speeding pumping disk with a person dancing in the middle, I needed a toilet break. "Meet you guys by the token booth!" I yelled out to them while rushing to the toilet. After I'm done with my business and washing my hands off one more time, I headed out. The toilet in there is disgusting, some people need to learn to flush after they're done. "What a coincidence! You were at the toilet too!" Gresham surprised me from behind. "You almost gave me a heart attack!" I blowed out a sigh. "Sorry" Gresham chuckled huskily. "Let's meet up with the rest" I was about to walk away when Gresham held my shoulder roughly, turned me around to face him and... HE KISSED ME. Lips locking lips, his eyes closed shut enjoying every bit of the moment while I stared at him with wide eyes. I'm was caught in a surprise. It was pleasant, for my first ever kiss but wrong.. I didn't responded his kiss which then he opened his eyes and unlocked his lip. Gresham looked down from embarrassment.
"Hey um Heat.." Gresham trailed shyly, I usually find his shyness adorable but now it seemed a bit suspicious. " There's something I've been wanting to tell you for a long time now, I know that it is no use holding all the emotions in from you and I want to let everything out of my chest... Heat I..." Gresham spurred out all of his emotions, "I am in love with you" He finally finished his sentences.
I am shook. And his words are so.. "Im sorry that came out too strong" Gresham blushed blood red. "What I wanna say is.." He pinched the bridge of his nose to gather his words properly, "I've been liking you more than friends for a long time now" He scratched the back of his head nervously.
"I-I-I don't know what to say" I stammered. BANG! The water tank next to the toilet suddenly fell. "Oi! You there!" a worker chased after a familiar figure.
