"Um, Hayes, what is that?" I pointed to the table, and looked up at him.
"Oh, um, that, that's kind of personal information."
Hayes started walking over to the journal that was lying on the coffee table. I don't get why it's so "personal" it's just a notebook.
"I'm gonna be right back, to put this in my room." He said walking in my direction. I know what I have to do even though it's really cliche it's worth a shot.
He started walking by when I moved in front of his way to make him drop the book. It opened right in front of me, so I picked it up and began to read it.
November 5th, 2013
She walked down the hallway with her head down looking at the floor. I wanted to say something, but the words just wouldn't come out. I then watched her walk by me like I meant nothing to her. Like I didn't even exist.
She used to be so full of life, but now it's almost as if she gave up. She gave up on us - on even trying. Then she was slammed into her locker by Ashley. All her books dropped to the floor, and she just stood there. She was in pain, she was suffering, and I didn't say or do anything to help her.
"Hayes, what is this?" I said looking up at him with tears started to run down my face.
He took my hand and lead me to the couch as we sat down, he began to start talking.
"Jasmine, even though I never said anything, I still cared. I saw everything. I wanted to say things I thought about saying, but I just couldn't. Then to see you walk by me like it was nothing, it hurt me. It really did." He started looking down.
"What was the real reason you invited me over today?" I said looking at my lap while playing with my hands.
"It was to say I'm sorry. To say I made a mistake. To say that when you needed someone to catch you I wasn't there, and I'm truly sorry. I want to be that person to catch you if you ever fall again. Jasmine I know you were never the type of girl that wanted a relationship, and I respect that. I just want to be close enough to you to be considered your best friend. I'll be that bestfriend that doesn't mind hearing you talk about girl drama, and I'll be that best friend that will beat up any guy that breaks your heart. But mostly I'll be that best friend that will take care of you and choose you over any of my friends because there's no one more important to me than you." He was now looking directly into my eyes.
"We can't rush things you do know that right?" I told him.
"As long as we go back to the way things used to be before we grew up, I'll be fine with however long it takes." He said smiling.
"Okay, so let's start over. I'll go first. Hi, my name's Jasmine and it's nice to meet you." I said while reaching my hand out.
"Hi Jasmine, my name's Hayes, it's nice to meet you, too. Is there anything else you want me to know?" Hayes said while laughing.
I lightly punched him in the arm, "Stop it's not funny, and well my favorite color is -"
"Blue, I haven't forgotten about the little things you like, Jas."
"Okay, so what do you wanna do now?" I stated.
"Let's watch a movie?" Hayes said more like a question.
"Only if I get to choose what movie!" I said practically jumping up and down.
"Okay, what movie?" Hayes questioned.
"Hayes." I stated.
"Jasmine." He replied.
"Do you wanna build a snowman?"
"Oh my god. This is gonna be a long night." He groaned while leaning back into the couch.
A/N: Hey! But yea Hayes has a journal full of days when Jasmine was being bullied by him and his friends.😮
