Here we go, last day of school before winter break. I might not seem like the type of person to like cheerleading, but I do. I don't just like it. I live for it. I tried out this year, and I made the school team. The last day before winter break is always the best. Why? Pep Rally.
It's a day where everyone associated in a winter sports miss the whole day. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating just a little bit, because you do have to go to your 7th period class. I start doing a mental check list.
I lay out my shell, body liner, bloomers, skirt, and bow. I still feel like I'm missing something. I go and grab my track pants and jacket, that goes with my uniform. At the moment a lightbulb goes off. I'm missing my sneakers.
I go walk into my closet and go all the way to the back where I keep my shoes. I start looking everywhere, but I can't find them. Great. I just had them yesterday, and now i can't find them. I still have 30 minutes till I leave.
I should just get dressed and look for them later, so that's exactly what I do. As I'm about to walk out of the room I trip and fall over my sneakers.
"Woah, Jas. What happened? Did the air trip you?" Hayes puts into words while laughing.
"Oh, ha ha , now help me up loser." I then reach my hand out and he helps me up.
"But seriously, how did you fall?" Hayes is now leaning against the door frame.
"I was looking for my cheer sneakers, but now i know where they are."
"Awe your own sneakers tripped you." He coos .
"Shut up, we're going to be late if we keep conversating."
I put on my sneakers and Hayes follows behind. I say goodbye to my mom and we're on our way.
When I walk into school I see Jacob and Amanda, again I cringe in disgust. This is going to take some time getting use to. Unlike normal days, Hayes walks with me to my locker, as I put everything in it.
"Where's your stuff for class?"
"I miss like all my periods except for homeroom and gym." I say smirking.
"Ugh, you're so luckyyy!" He wines.
"I know being a cheerleader comes with its perks."
"You know being my cheerleader comes with its perks too." He closes my locker for me and rest his head on my shoulders.
"I'm sure it does, but missing school isn't one of them."
"Alright, Alright, it may not be as great as missing school, but you get to have me all to yourself. So what more could you ask for?" We stopped walking when we reached my homeroom.
"Well, I could ask for a macbook, a new iphone, one direction floor tickets, a new tv, a new-"
"Wow, thanks for making me feel like the most valuable thing in the world." He rolls his eyes.
"Anytime Hayesie baby." I tap his nose, "but go to class, I'll see you during pep rally."
"Okay babygirl." He gives me one big hug, and pecks me on the lips before he leaves.
I walk in the classroom, to see Jacob in the back of the room with Amanda. I wouldn't be suprised if she already gave him a handy. I laugh at my own thoughts and everyone looks at me. oops.
"Too bad I don't care." I say aloud.
"Don't care about what Jasmine?" Jacob asks while sitting next to me.
"I don't care about what anyone thinks." I then begin to fix my cheer bow.
"Well that's good for you."
"Yeah. Now is this conversation over? Because I honestly don't feel like talking to you anymore." Wow I'm harsh.
He gets up and walks to his usual seat which is directly behind me.
He then mutters, "2 years of friendship down the drain."
I stay seated then rise for the pledge of allegiance. After morning annoucements, I raise my hand.
"Yes Jasmine?" the teacher asks.
"Can I go to the gym now for pep rally?"
"No." She says.
"Really?' I question in disbelief.
"Of course you could go, I was just messing with you. Have fun!"
I walk out the classroom and up to the gym. Here goes nothing.
