I woke up extra early, becuase today's the day. I know I have one hectic, phycotic, and extremely crazy family, but I'd love for Jasmine to be my girlfriend. I bought her a Alx & Ani bracelet and a rose. Cliche I know. The thing is that I'm a cliche guy. I can't have anything being straight out normal. I like to think of it as go big or go home.

I try so much to show my feelings, but I just can't. I start walking to Jasmine's house like I usually do. I knocked on her door, to be greeted by her mom.

"Hi Mrs. Coleman, is Jasmine here?"

"No, Jacob you just missed her. I'm sure that you'll catch up to her if you hurry a little. Hayes and her haven't been walking for more than three minutes."

"Okay thanks Mrs. Coleman I'll see you soon." I state.

"No problem Jacob see you soon honey." She says while smiling and then closing the door.

Wow that was a bust. I start jogging trying to catch up to Hayes and her. It's just that I don't want her getting together with Hayes because he's bad news.

I mean this is the Hayes who bullied her and wrecked her life. Jasmine would call me talking about how much she hated Hayes and who's become.

It's like Hayes get's everything he ever wants. If he gets Jasmine then he'll never learn his lesson. That's like me turning on Jasmine when she needs me the most and I wouldn't do that.

There's a billion girls in the whole world yet it seems that Hayes wants to steal mine. Jasmine is basically my whole world. Hayes needs to find another one because she belongs to me.

I finally see them and started to jog towards them.

"Jasmine Coleman will you-" This can't be happening. I thought fast and just started talking.

"Hey Hayes! Jas!" I say all cheerily.

"You cock block omfg!" Hayes yells. Wow how more casual can he be. It's obvious that he's trying to get Jasmine, but does he have to want her when I do?

"Okay Jas I'm going to ask you three questions and if you say yes to any of them you have to be my girlfriend. Deal?" I know what he's doing, yet I can't find the courage to speak up.

"Yeah, sure, it's a deal!" She puts her hand out and they shake hands. While I stand there in awe.

"Okay, are you ready?" Hayes asks. It was at that moment that Hayes probably felt immortality.

"Yes." This was the moment Jas fucked up. I now knew that there was no way I was getting out of the friendzone.

I walk away. My chance is crushed right in front of me. My heart shattered into a million pieces. I take out the rose and the bracelet and walk to Ashley's group of friends. I find Amanda and pull her aside.

I get down on one knee, with the rose and bracelet in my hand then start to talk.

"Amanda Rose, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" She stands there in awe. I've known for a month now that she's liked me.

The only thing holding me back from asking her out was Jasmine. Now that Jasmine is completely out of the picture why not a better time to ask her out than now.

"Of course! Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes!" Without warning she kisses me. I stand there then wrap my arms around her waist and spin her around, while she giggles in my arms.

This is my first step to recovering from the heartbreak of Jasmine Coleman.

It's official Hayes and I are now a couple. Even though I admit that it's pretty wierd being with Hayes? I honestly couldn't picture us being a thing. I honestly thought Jacob would've asked me out way before Hayes would've got a chance.

We decided to have a race to the school. It was less then the distance of what we ran for cross country, so it wasn't going to be that hard.

We sprinted to the front patio and I honestly wanted to whoop Hayes' ass in this race. That way I could show him that losing to a girl is embarassing.

As we run Hayes' is right on my tail. The only thing is that I wasn't running my hardest, so when we were neck in neck I run my fastest and beat him by ten feet.

I start dancing and gloating, till I see something I thought I would';ve never seen. It's Jacob and Amanda kissing and being all couple like and stuff.

It makes me literally sick to my stomach. The way she's giggling in his arms. She doesn't deserve him. He could do way better.

I then get tapped on the shoulder by Hayes, and he crouches down to give me a piggyback ride. I accept it but I get down right before we enter the building. Hayes and I go our separate ways and I walk to my locker. I pass Amanda as she brags to everyone in the hallway about the beautiful bracelet Jacob got her.

She passes my locker, and I did something. What did I do? I tripped the bitch. Yup that's right, she falls down like the little brat she is. She looks up in shock and I don't feel one bit of guilt. She's made my life a hell, so lets just say I gave her a little bit of payback. At least I didn't slam her into a locker.

She gets up and gives me an extremely dirty look. It's almost as if she expected me to do it. She walked off like nothing happened, go her. I'm not going to bully her, but I just felt that she needed to be put in her place.

I got my books and closed my locker. This time no one, I repeat no one is going to walk all over me, especially her. Welcome to the hell called middle school, Amanda.
