I dont think ive seen my mother cry in years, but i definately felt bad. I spoke to them, no matter how weird or how much it hurt. They needed to hear it.
I was sent to my room, grounded for a month. They let me keep my phone which is a plus. I sat in my room and stared at the ceiling, hand on my phone in case it vibrated. I waited, letting my thoughts consume me, as if it hasnt done that before.
I felt my phone vibrate and I was quick to lift it. It was from an unknown number, and i hoped it was Jarens. I unlocked the phone. openening messages and seeing the message sent to me.
Unknown: hey uh, this is jaren, from the school yard? i hope you didnt give me a fake hehe
I decided to tease him.
Me: I'm sorry dude, I dont know who you are.
