° Wich one of us is suffering more? °
"So this is where you were." I sighed, as I approached the al-so familiar back.
When I noticed the absence of my friend at our usual meeting spot, I knew he was somewhere, trying to get something out of his lungs.
The said person was bending over a dustbin, clearly vomiting but unlike with normal people, I didn't smell anything, nor did he make gagging noises.
"It's allright, let it all out." I said in a reassuring voice, as I rubbed his back, "No matter how useless it is to vomit when you have the Hanahaki disease."
I felt his back stiffen, and he let out a cough as if something was stuck in his throat.
"Can't you let me vomit in peace?" Jungkook looked up with a distressed expression, as he wiped his mouth.
"If you can call it vomiting, that is?" I shrugged a bit laconically, although in if I have to be honest, I'm constantly worried about his situation, I've learned to deal with it in my own way because being overly concerned towards him will only make him distance himself more. He would brush it off as nothing anyway, and I would lose that last bit of insight I had on his disease. "I mean, you're basically just staring into the trash can with your mouth opened wide. I'm surprised a fly hasn't flown inside yet."
Jungkook just sighed deeply and rolled his eyes at me and grabbed his backpack from the ground.
"Anyways, since I know you're allright, I'm heading to class," I said with a small smile, getting a distressed and annoyed look from him, was a daily thing, but I wished one day that expression would change.
"You're not going to wait for me?" Jungkook gave me a disgruntled look.
"Do you want me to?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes, I always do idiot. You know that!"
"Your expression told me a different story." I chuckled as I turned around on my heels, and started walking down the streets.
"I don't have any control over my facial expressions," Jungkook said truthfully as he rushed after me.
"Oh sure, Jungkook." I just nodded my head, as he fell in step with me, walking next to me.
Everyone who knew Jungkook well enough to call themselves his close friends, knew that he daily made expression he didn't even realize he made them. Half of the time he would be a meme on purpose, half of the time he wouldn't even realize he was being one.
"I'm serious, look." Jungkook suddenly dropped on his knees to the ground and pulled a crying expression.
"Jungkook, what are you doing?" I asked him, luckily no people were around, or they would have started asking questions and explaining this, would've been quite difficult.
"Mimi don't leave me!" Jungkook groaned dramatically, as he clutched his chest.
"God, I told you not to call me that." I walked back towards him and tried hoisting him up by his hand, but he wouldn't budge, "Kook get up."
"Don't leave me, Mimi!" Jungkook grabbed my arm, in both of his hands and tugged me down on the street.
"Jungkook, stop it!" I begged him, looking around a bit bewildered "You're going to get a coughing fit again."
"I don't care." Jungkook continued his act, but his words stung harder than I expected.
"It's because you don't care, that you're in this condition." I maintained a composed front but on the inside, I was screaming out of frustration.
"Mimi?" Jungkook noticed my stiffened posture and cocked his head to the side. He stopped his act for a second, realizing that I was either getting very irritated or that I just gave up on reasoning with him and waited for him to stop.
"Jungkook, get up." I tried sounding gentle, but my voice had a sharp edge I couldn't hide and I could see the realization of me being irritated, dawn upon him. "We're going to be late for class and you know how I feel about that."
I managed to slip my hand out of his grip and got up from the ground. Jungkook had gone silent because of my sharp tone and got up from the ground too.
"We have 10 minutes left, because of you moron," I mumbled as I dusted my knees off.
"Give me your bag." Jungkook tugged the handle of my bag, and I let him slip it off my shoulder.
I was about to walk again when I felt him scoop me up in his arms like a bride.
"Hold on tight!" Jungkook laughed with a goofy grin on his face, "I'm going to race us to school."
"Jungkook!" I yelled but my yell ended in a laugh, as I couldn't stay mad at him for too long. I mean who could when they were in their goofy and funny best friend arms, with him running down the streets like Husain Bolt.
"We'll be there faster than a bus!" Jungkook laughed, as he ran down the streets, not caring a single bit about the looks from other people.
Neither did it actually bother me. I've been around and with Jungkook for so long that I've forgotten to care about weirded out looks and judging stares.
Jungkook clearly showed me that if you enjoy yourself and the ones around you do too, there's no need to hold yourself back for strangers.
So as Jungkook raced us to school, I just clutched my arms around his neck tightly and rested my head on his shoulder "Please get better, I can't miss you..."
