¤ She had a love that rescued him... ¤

"Woah it's already been 3 days since Jungkook had his surgery right?" Jimin groaned as he stretched his arms over the table.

Yoongi - who almost got hit in the face by Jimin's arms - pulled his head back with a frown, but nodded his head in agreement to the other's statement.

Currently, it was their lunchtime, and the seven-plus Yeonji were seated at their usual table in the canteen. Jungkook had sent all of them a short but powerful message, informing them that he wished no visits inside the hospital. He would contact or visit them as soon as he was released.

At the same time, Yeonji had received a message from Mimosa, informing her that she would be absent from school for a few days. She had wondered in the later would be by Jungkooks side during his surgery, but Mimi had denied this. She had stated that she needed a bit of time for herself and would explain everything after returning to school.

"And three days since Mimi came to school," Hyeri noted too as she took a sip of her drink. "Did she contact you Yeonji?"

"Are you sure she isn't with Jungkook?" Hoseok - now seated next to Hyeri with more comfort - questioned with a shake of his head.

"Nope, I wasn't." A voice stated firmly just when Yeonji opened her mouth to answer Hoseok.

"Mimi!" Jimin and Hyeri jumped at the same time startled.

"Am I hallucinating?" Jin rubbed his eyes just in case he was seeing things.

"No, you're not Seokjin." Mimosa chuckled slightly amused as she plopped down next to him at the bench. "I'm still alive after three days of absence."

"W-where have you been?!" Taehyung stammered as Namjoon gestured at Jimin and Hyeri to sit down. They were grabbing quite some attention in the jam-packed canteen, and everyone wanted to calmly listen to Mimi's explanation.

"At home, sorting things out for myself." Mimosa gave them a small yet sheepish smile, as she brushed her hand through her evidently shorter hair.

"Did you have some kind of mid-life crisis or something?" Yoongi questioned rather bluntly and the others looked at him with big eyes. "Don't women cut their hair as a solution to their problems?"

Mimosa, on the other hand, didn't mind the question, and a laugh actually escaped her, "Well, you could kind of see it like that. Closing a chapter, and opening a new one."

"A chapter named..." Yeonji started with a slight huff but she wasn't able to finish the sentence.

"You can finish the sentence you know," Mimi gave her an amused but slightly insinuating stare, and Yeonji shook her head in denial.

Mimosa hadn't told Yeonji about what had happened on the day of the surgery itself, so her worry and reaction came from the fact that Mimi had gone absent without a proper reason.

Yet Mimosa wasn't planning on telling Yeonji about it when the others were around. She felt like she owed it to Yeonji to tell her personally first, before sharing it with the others - who also deserved to know about it. One part of Mimosa also felt like it was a shared responsibility with Jungkook to tell his friend, but with an uncertain future for their relationship, she had no choice but to do it herself.

"It's not up to me to do that," She stated as she saw another figure that had disappeared for a few days, emerge through the canteen doors.

Mimosa who was sitting with her back towards the door didn't seem to notice it, and the ones who saw the door - Jimin, Hoseok, Yeonji, and Hyeri - tried to keep their expressions neutral. The said person was holding his finger against his lips after all.
