Appearance: Ears have very long hair, deep chest built for stamina, leg muscles less developed than a Greyhound's, hazel or brown eyes are deep-set and small, straight bones covered by thin skin, comes in a variety of colors.
Good with children, good for urban living, thrives in warm weather, exercise is needed.
History: The Saluki, which closely resembles dogs depicted on the tombs of Egyptian pharaohs, was the hunting companion of nomadic Bedouin tribesmen. It is possible that the Saluki has been selectively bred for longer than any other breed of dog.
