Appearance: Flat top skull, muscular neck, forelegs are long and straight, well curved feet, hind feet are much stronger than front feet, points of hip bone are wide apart, strong muzzle tapering, large almond-shaped eyes set on a slant, tougher skin and heavier hair than most shorthaired sighthounds, comes in all colors.
Good with children, not for urban living, thrives in warm weather, thrives in cold weather, exercise needed.
History: Ancient Polish manuscripts and illustrations show hounds that are clearly similar to todays Chart Polski hunting hare and fox with members of the Polish nobility. The breed was descended from the Asiatic Greyhound. The first American litter was born in 1991, but this is still a very rare breed outside of Poland.
