Appearance: Brown eyes have a retiring look, long, tapering tail is carried between legs when not in action, long head tapers to nose, legs are well mucled and strongly boned, rose shaped ears are very mobile, comes in any color.
Good with children, gold for urban living, not for cold weather, little to no grooming needed, good with other animals.
History: In the 1800s rabbit coursing was a popular sport in the north of England. To improve the acceleration of the terriers used in this sport, good coursing terriers were bred with small Greyhounds, producing todays graceful Whippet.
