I groan as I pull myself out of bed to silence my alarm on the table halfway across my bedroom. Tripping over last week's laundry I still hadn't put away, I succeed in ending the annoying shrill until 10 minutes into frying my hair do I hear the blaring ensue noting I had only put it on snooze.Time to start school. I'm usually very excitable, but when it comes to waking up at 6:00 A.M. just to go to a crummy school, I'm not a happy camper. I pull on my outfit I laid out the previous night and made my way down the long hallway to the kitchen.
"Morning sweetheart! Ready to start Senior year?" My mother paraded me.
"Sure am." I quipped as I faked a smile and ate my poptart, the silver plastic inviting me to rip it open.
After finishing my breakfast I grabbed my backpack, kissed my mom on the cheek and was out the door just in time to clamber onto bus. I quickly looked around for an avaliable seat. To my dismay, there wasn't one.
"Hey honey, are you gonna sit down or not?" The bus driver yelled.
Slightly panicked, I looked around again. No one scooted over, only laughed and resumed talking to their mates.
"Hey baby, there's a seat for you on my lap," a rather annoying boy with gelled blond hair chuckled with a wink.
"I'd rather not, thanks," I clipped and sat down in the very back when a girl moved her backpack aside for me with a heavy eyeroll.
I was a Senior for Christ's sakes and there wasn't even a seat on the bus for me? I absolutely hated how I couldn't drive until I found the money to buy my own car and afford insurance.
I could feel multiple pairs of eyes on me and I looked up only to see their heads turn towards the front again. The last set of eyes were a striking blue, they stayed on mine for longer than the others. I was just about to inquire why he felt the need to star at me when the bus jarred to a halt and feet crowded the aisle.
Senior year had already began and it felt like I had already been hit by the bus taking us to our holding cell for the next four nine weeks.
