Jess' P.O.V
I woke up before Louis, my thoughts of traveling swarming my head and consuming my brain. I rolled over and swung my legs on either side of Louis, softly enough so he wouldn't wake up, and went downstairs to make us a quick breakfast. I called a cab while I washed some strawberries Lou had bought at the grocer earlier. When I was finished I went back upstairs to wake him up.
Tiptoeing over to his sleeping body I lowered my lips to his ear, a soft snore escaping his mouth making me gasp and jump back. When I was confident he wasn't awake resumed my position.
"WAKE UP BOOBEAR!" I practically screamed in his ear.
He shot up in bed and immediately glared at me, throwing his pillow at my hunched over body. I was laughing too hard to hear his grumbling.
"I hate you," he said stubbornly.
"No you don't, not when I made breakfast for you," I replied matter-of-factly.
He followed me to the kitchen and I handed him his plate of strawberries and some more spam I found. We sat down on the couch and chewed in silence.
"By the way our cab is supposed to be here in-" I paused to check my watch, "10 minutes."
"You made me breakfast and called a cab, how much more wonderful can you get?" He smiled and kissed my cheek before getting up to put his shoes on.
There was a honk from outside so I grabbed our bags until Louis took them from me and tossed them in the trunk. The ride to the airport was quiet until Louis interrupted my thoughts by grabbing my hand.
"You know, it's not too late to back out," he looked me in the eyes.
"What are you talking about?" I asked him with concern.
"Well, people have always been disappointed in me so I don't want you to feel chained up with me for the rest of your life. I don't want to disappoint you like I have everyone else," he explained rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand, looking down at it.
"Louis Tomlinson, I will never be disappointed in you. Ever. I swear. I wouldn't be in this car with you right now if I didn't trust and need you, and that should prove something," I reassured him.
When he didn't look convinced I rested my head on his shoulder and cuddled him until the rubbing on my hand stopped and he lifted my chin off his shoulder to give me a kiss. I didn't want things to get too heated since the cab driver could see us in the rear view mirror. He was upset when I just pecked him back.
"Don't fancy my kisses?" He pouted.
"No, the driver," I whispered.
"Oh, well in the case..." he looked away feigning hurt until he suddenly turned again and grabbed my face, snogging me so hard I was pushed against the car door with a gentle thud. I gasped for air when he leaned back, smirking of course. I was blushing madly as the cab driver cleared his throat.
"We've arrived at the airport now, sir."
Louis' P.O.V
After paying the man I grabbed our two cases and guided Jess into the airport. When we arrived at security a guard stopped her.
"Ma'am, I'd like to inspect you. Please put your arms above your head."
I was shocked when Jess complied, letting the sweaty barbaric man grope her body for nothing.
"Excuse me mate, is that quite necessary?" I intervened.
"Louis," Jess whisper scolded, shooting me a glare.
"Just following the rules, sir," he mumbled.
"Oh yeah, yeah. The rules say you can feel up my girlfriend for no apparent reason. She doesn't even look threatening then!" I threatened him.
He patted her legs once more before I had had enough.
"Are you quite finished?" I asked him, irritated.
"Indeed I am, have a nice flight."
I flipped him the bird before putting my arm around Jess and moving at a brisk pace to our gate to board. Jess knew I was too pissed to talk so she stayed quiet until we were seated on the plane. She lightly nudged my arm.
"Lou, I know your mad right now but I really need some comfort. I've never been on a plane before," she told me with Bambi eyes.
My expression must have softened because she broke into a grin when I pushed up the armrest between us to allow her to scooch closer to me. I held her hand as the engines began to roar.
"Hello and welcome aboard," the attendant began her spiel.
The plane jerked forward as the large body maneuvered around bends and turns to get to the runway. When the attendant sat down the plane lurched forward again, flying down the runway at an increasingly fast rate. I squeezed Jess tight when I could practically feel her escalating heart beat. She closed her eyes when we took off into the air.
"It's okay baby," I whispered to her, rubbing her back. "I'm here, everything is fine."
She slowly opened her eyes and turned her head to look out the window. She broke into a smile when the runway turned into a blur and the town into a large green area as we rose into the clouds.
"I'm excited," she finally said.
"Me too," I grinned back at her.
After about four good hours in the sky Jess began to fall asleep against my body. Her eratic breathing had turned into softer breaths as she fell deeper into sleep. She looked so angelic. She belonged up here, in the clouds, I thought to myself. It would be a few more hours before we landed so I relaxed in my seat. I wondered what Jess was dreaming about. If she was dreaming about me. I hoped she was happier now, happy because she was with me. Sometimes I wondered how such a delicate angel had fallen in love with a devil like me.
