Thalia looked at me confused.

"Thalia! You're awake! I'm so so sorry. I've been here everyday for you and I know I don't deserve you but I'm still in love with you. Cheating on you was the worst thing I ever did." I said as I hugged her.

She seemed...different? She didn't say a thing and when I hugged her she just sat there awkwardly.

The doctor walked in.

"She's awake? Thats wonderful!" he said.

"How do you feel?"

"Umm... okay I guess. Why am I in the hospital? And who is this boy?" Thalia said referring to me.

She didn't remember me? How could she not remember me? We were bestfriends since we were kids!

"Oh no. No this is not good." the doctor said.

"What? Whats wrong with her?" I said.

"It seems she has amnesia. We will have to run a few tests on her."

"So she doesn't know who I am?"

"No. It seems she doesn't remember anything."

"Will she ever remember me?"

"Well its complicated. She might have forgotten everything that happened before today or she might start to remember little by little. I'll give you some time alone with her."

Wow. She really doesn't remember anything.

I looked over at her. She was looking at me as if I was a stranger. I tried to explain everything to her.

"I know you don't remember me, but my name is Sam Pottorff. You and I have been bestfriends since we were kids, and we recently started dating. Everything was going perfect, and I ruined all of it by kissing my ex. And you're in the hospital because you overdosed on pills because you were so stressed out and me cheating pushed you over the edge. Thalia I'm so sorry if I could take back that day trust me I would. I would do everything differently. I'm still in love with you." I said.

"Okay, Sam, whoever you are, I don't think we can be together right now. I don't know if I can trust you if you cheated on me like you said. Maybe we can be friends. But I want to see my parents. Where are they?" She said.

"Oh... umm... Thalia... I'm just gonna come right out and say it. Your mom is dead, and your dad is in jail. Your dad murdered your mom and your dad was coming for you next, but I came and saved you. He was very abusive to you and he was an alcoholic. You came to live with me for awhile. You were living with me until you tried to kill yourself and now you're here." I said.

"What? M-my parents? They're in jail and... dead?"

Tears slowly started to escape her eyes.

I pulled her into a hug as I said "Thalia I'm not gonna give you some bullshit and say everything is going to be okay and to stop crying. I'm telling you that its okay to cry. I know you're going through alot and I sprung all of this on you. Its okay to be sad and to cry, but just know that I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you." 

She left a puddle of tears on my shoulder but I didn't mind.

She sniffled as she said "Thanks Sam. It means a lot that you're here for me."

Then the doctor came in and tested her for a few things.
