Chapter Twenty-Three, Under

(Ashton's POV)

"Ashton where are you going?" Luke called out from behind me as I continued to walk. I didn't have control over my body, it just kept walking and taking me away from Luke, with the piece of Michael's hair that I didn't even mean to pull. Something weird was going on, something very weird, and I was freaking out.

"Ashton!" Luke yelled, still trying to catch up to me. Oh how I wanted him to help me, but then again, I really didn't deserve help. I was being a piece of shit then and I still am now. Luke Finally caught up to me and stopped me from walking away, a sigh of relief escaped me

"Please, help me Luke" I muttered, he looked at me confused.

"Are you ok? Ashton?" He asked, I nodded even though that's not what I wanted to do. Someone was controlling me, and if it was Michael, I was seriously confused.

"Luke please something is really wrong with me" I thought in my head but I didn't say it out loud. Instead I said,

"I just have to go home and lay down for a minute... You could come over later, but right now I need me time" and after I was done saying that, I walked away, down the street leaving Luke behind me. I was not in control of myself and I was freakin out. I was freaking out more when I realized that I wasn't in control of my feet and I wasn't walking to my house - no - I was walking off to Justin's house.

"What the fuck" I said out loud, managing to get that out of my system. I walked up to Justin's door and knocked on it, standing there and waiting for him. I had no idea why I was here, or what I was going to be doing here. Justin opened the door, and Niall was beside him. And then with a click of his wrist, everything went black.

I woke up outside my house, on my lawn. The wind blew and I felt cold and shivered. I looked around, for any sign of people. But no one was here. I sat up, moving my hands along the soft grass of my front lawn. I turned my head and saw a figure, standing at the edge of my lawn. They started walking towards me.

"Ashton," it said, and by that voice I knew it was Luke. He walked all the way up to me, stopping in front of my face.

"Ashton, your really fucked up... What happened?" Luke asked, I sat up and started to stand, looking at Luke and instantly hugging him.

"Something's wrong, Luke something's wrong" I said, feeling scared and unsafe. The sky was grey with clouds and I felt wind blow around us. I felt a tear come from my eye and I wiped it on Luke's shoulder. Luke patted me on the back in an effort to comfort me.

"Ashton, you need to tell me what's going on" Luke said. So I made a decision and I made this in about two seconds. It was time for the truth.

"Luke. I went to Justin's house to fuck around with him and Niall. Yes I know it was wrong and stupid but that's not the point. The point is-"

"Wait you cheated on me?!" Luke cut me off. I looked at the ground and then back at Luke, holding his hands at his sides.

"Luke! Luke it wasn't me! Someone was controlling me I swear to it! My vision went blurry, I could barely hear, it's exactly how it feels to be under a voodoo doll!" I yelled back, Luke narrowed his eyebrows.

"You mean how it feels to be under Justin!" Luke screamed back at me, I gasped and let go of his arms.

"Luke Hemmings listen to me-"

"No you listen to me Ashton!" Luke interrupted, pushing me away from him.

"Were done. We're threw. I don't..." Luke paused, taking a shaking breath and put his hand over his mouth before he removed it again to speak.

"I don't ever want to see you again" Luke said, running off away from my house. I felt a rain drop on my shoulder, and then a tear on my cheek.

"LUKE!" I yelled, reaching out for him and running towards him - but he was faster then me - and I tripped on the sidewalk. The rain splashed all around me and soak my shirt and jean as I laid on the ground on the wet lawn, calling out his name.

"LUKE! LUKE I'M SORRY!" I yelled and yelled and screamed and cried, but nothing was getting him back to me. He was gone, like the sun, like my heart, like my happiness.

"Luke... Please..." I said, giving up hope and closing my eyes pools and pools of tears falling out, hands clutching wet grass that seemed grey in the light of the sky.

"Luke you are the reason I smile... Please come back"

"I need you"

"And it hurts in my head and my heart and my chest, and I'm having trouble catching my breath"
