(Michael's POV)

What do you so if a voodoo maker kills you?

You could try and kill them too.

But voodoo makers can't die, and that's a fact.

They will just get knocked down, but will come back.

So the best thing to do is just wait and wait..

For a voodoo maker can seal your fate.

*1 Month later*

Calum had been gone for a month. Luke and Ashton haven't talked to me. Luke and Ashton haven't talked to each other for a matter of fact. No one talked to no one. I spent most of my days in my room, finding the true meaning and torture of being immortal. I had tried countless ways of killing myself. And none of them worked. I barely left my room,

Accept to go to school but summer was right around the corner, I wouldn't have to go there soon.

Calum's death was horrible. I had to cover the evidence of any voodoo activity, because the voices in my head told me if anyone found out they would take my soul. So, me and the voices - which I now call 'other siders' - brought Calum outside his house, placing a knife in his hand and getting ride if the blood writing on his chest.

Everyone thought Calum killed himself, and I played along with it. Calum's funeral was the last time I had seen Luke and Ashton. Now they seemed mythical, to me and to each other. The only time I had talked to anyone was when I talked to the other siders... They always told me to keep voodoo magic a secret, and told me I was immortal and wasting my time with the suicide attempts.

I was damaged beyond repair and I had no idea what to do about it. I just wanted Calum back. I laid on my bed facing the ceiling, the other siders chanting something to me but I didn't bother to hear what they were saying. Suddenly, I heard a knock on my front door, I just let my parents take care of that one. I heard the door open, and a familiar voice come into the house.

"Michael!" My mom yelled, and I sat up. I knew exactly who was here.

"Your friend Luke is here!" My mom yelled, I got out of my bed and opened my door, trying not to look to excited that I was going to talk to someone that wasn't the other siders. I saw Luke standing by the door, and with the look that he had on his face, he was in a rush, and terrified. As I got closer to him, I realized he was holding a brown book in his hand, it looked 100 years old.

My mom walked off into the living room and I shrugged at Luke. He looked like a mess, his hair was crazy, his eyes had bags under them.

"What's going on?" I asked, Luke handed me the book and pointed to the title. It read out 'Voodoo Makers Handbook' I looked at him confused and wondered where he has got something like this.

"Listen Michael there is a way to get Calum back, if he died how I think he died..." Luke said his voice slowly going into a whisper.

"He used the doll, didn't he?" Luke whispered to me. I knew the other siders told me not to tell Luke, and they were doing it right now. But I held up the book and they stopped talking.

"I can trust him with it" I said, Luke giving me a very confused look. I shrugged it off and looked at him dead serious.

"Where did you get that book?" I asked angrily, Luke shouldn't be messing with this type of stuff, I didn't want him to end up like me.

"I found it at Justin's house, but that's not the point-"

"What were you doing at Justin's house?" I asked, Luke sighed in annoyance and grabbed my arm.
