that moment when you awkwardly smiled at me like you were saying goodbye
that moment when i felt each butterfly in my stomach slowly died
that moment when even the touch of the wind felt like needles pinning in my skin
that moment when i tried to hold my tears back and slowly grinned
that moment when you held my hand and i knew it was the last
that moment when i wished the hands of time wouldn't run so fast
that moment when i remembered all the things you and i used to say
that moment when i tried so hard to think why things between us would end that way
that moment when i tried to stop myself from crying and silently counted "one, two, three..."
that moment when i tried my best to simply whisper "four" but then my tears betrayed me
that moment when i realized that a couple of steps distance could actually feel like a million miles away
that moment when you turned your back even when you knew that beside you was the only place i'd like to stay
that moment when i started to step my foot and walk back home alone
i knew i was heading the wrong direction because "you" were my "home"
something in that moment has changed and i knew
i'd never love anyone the same way that i loved you
