Happenstance

Chapter I

It was a cloudy day at Freedom International High. Everyone gathered at the hall to see which class they were in. All of the students were chattering on how fun their summer went and some described what changes they undergone during the summer.

Freedom International High was known as a school full of interesting and privilege students. One of the few students of this school was Ally, Brooke, Mars, Anya and Yanna.

These five, although different and unique in their own way didn't really picture out that they would complement one another.

Christa Alison Swift Swanepoel, also known as Ally, is from Nashville. They own a small business in the country and it didn't take long until it became an empire. She decided to transfer to this school because she felt like she could be another person. She wanted to be confident.

Brooke Celeste Gonzales Albom or Brooke came from a wealthy family. She always had everything she ever needed, that sometimes she thought what else is her use in this household besides living as a modern day princess? She was homeschooled just like what her parents wanted but she always wanted to have friends. Real friends who can understand her and who don't live in the virtual world. She wanted to experience life as an ordinary student.

Ally and Brooke were best friends since elementary. They did almost everything together. Although some students, didn't really know why they became close. They were oddly opposite from each other. Ally is an outspoken person. You can usually see her participating in various debates or expressing her points of view during classes meanwhile Brooke prefers to express her thoughts if you talk to her alone. Brooke doesn't really enjoy a crowd listening to her opinion; it makes her shy and timid.

On the other hand, Deogracias Marciano Labra Des Pidida is the only son of an average family. He transferred to this school because he wanted to try his luck in a prestigious school. Deogracias or Mars as what some people decided to call him spends his time doing all sorts of things to keep him busy. Mars was known to be fond of taking pictures of everyone especially candid ones. He was usually found in different groups of people. They call him Mars because they usually feel his on another planet whenever they have a conversation.

Anastasia Eiddwen Evangelista Rossi is the daughter of a known doctor. She transferred from another prestigious school just because she felt like it. Anya is known for petite stature and for her love of binge watching Korean dramas and mystery films. She also enjoys drawing. They usually misinterpret Anya because unlike her mom she spends most of her time on her gadgets. They decided to transfer her to a new school in the hope that she will change her ways and be serious in facing life.

Adreanna Charis Gomez De Luca or Yanna is a quiet person. She doesn't really talk unless you talk to her first and if she finds you interesting. She usually just reads a book or listens to music. Yanna came from a slightly above average family. She already went to this school since she was a toddler. Despite the expensive fees, her parents always found it worth it to enroll her there because she always devotes her time to her studies. Yanna didn't really mind her social status but she does wish what it's like to have friends.

These 5 students all met purely by accident.

It was the first day of junior year, everyone were already busy going to their respective classrooms. Somehow these 5 ended up being late. Ally and Brooke were too busy chatting in the bathroom to notice the time, Mars was busy taking first day of class pictures to everyone, Anya was stuck in traffic and Yanna stayed up all night because of a thick book she was reading.

Mrs Villegas: I'm surprised that some students even have the courage to be late on the first day of class. As punishment, you will all be standing in the hallway until homeroom is over and I will see you all at detention.

Ally: Jeez, can't she just let us off the hook. It's not really a big deal to be late on the first day.

Brooke: Yeah, I'm already dreading this day...

Mars: I should have checked the time *sighs* Anyways, Hi everyone I'm Mars what are your names?

Ally: I'm Ally and she's Brooke nice to meet you Mars. How about you two, do you even have plans to talk to us?

Anya: Huh? Oh sorry I was too busy watching this series, I'm Anya by the way.

Yanna: I'm Yanna.

(Ally and Brooke whisper to each other)

Ally: This is going to be an interesting year don't you think?

Brooke: I guess it will be an interesting year.
