Chapter VIII

They did exactly what is planned and told the two chair persons about the lost money. As expected, Ally and Brooke decided to resolve their fight so that they can solve this problem without their other classmates knowing.

Mars: I still can't find the culprit.

Yanna: I wonder who would even think of doing such a thing.

Ally and Brooke glanced at each other. It looks like they have a hunch on who the culprit or culprits are.

Ally: We might know who. Brooke let's go.

Anya: Who is it? You guys might as well tell us now who the culprit is or else we will tell the entire class about the lost money.

Yanna: Anya, you shouldn't always force people to tell you everything. It's not a very nice thing to do.

Mars: Anya does have a point Yanna. I did notice they were hiding something from us and it offends me a little that they can't trust us with that secret.

Ally: Fine you guys win.

Brooke: We think it's a student from the rival class.

Yanna: The rival class? I didn't even know we had a rival class.

Anya: Why can you say that?

Ally: Well you see, a few days ago before this whole project of the school fair was starting, the rival class made a bet with Brooke and I.

Brooke: They told us that the loser of the bet will be mocked by a faux crowning ceremony in next month's Batch Gathering.

Ally: We didn't really see the point of the bet because it is a fund raiser after all but we still agreed because of our pride.

Brooke: That is also why we are the chair persons of our class and the reason why we worked so hard. We just wanted to protect our pride by being beaten up by some stupid rival class.

Mars: That is a very valid reason for a bet.

Yanna: I don't see the point of the bet but I will let it slide since the bet is partially for a good cause Ally: But we still need to confront them about the money.

Yanna: Oh let them keep it. I found a way to fix the budget. The finance office won't see any difference, we just need to reduce a bit on the decorations and we need to cut one day of use in the cafeteria to resolve this.

Brooke: I guess that's fine.

Ally: I hope we do win.

Ally and Brooke announced to the whole class about their bet and they apologized if they have been so pushy and bossy about it also for not telling them about it. Everyone was really understanding about it and they managed to succeed in preparing their booth just on time.

The classroom was really like an image from a magazine. It really captured the coziness and warmth that a café exudes and claims to have.

The class wore such funny costume that gave a funny twist to their café. There bake sale was also such a hit apparently the students who baked them had relatives who were professional pastry chefs but they made the pastries by themselves.

You might be wondering what the five friends chose to wear. Ally and Brooke wore somewhat of a power suit to identify themselves as the chair persons, Yanna dressed as a villager from Romeo and Juliet, Anya decided to wear a detective costume and Mars decided to dress himself as a journalist.

Their customers aren't only the student body but there were also people who came from outside the school since the school fair was open to the public. Anya, Mars and Yanna were busy roaming around so they could find potential customers while Ally and Brooke decided to stay behind so they could attend to their customers.

As the 3 friends ventured out they saw Casper and Ares who were busy playing a video game that the freshmen set up.

Anya: Hey look its Casper and Ares

Yanna: Oh yeah, why don't we invite them to our café?

Anya and Yanna tried to call out to Casper and Ares but their voices are so soft that their shouting could almost be mistaken as their normal talking voice. Luckily, Mars just came and helped them.

Mars: Casper! Ares! Over here!

Casper: Oh, if it isn't Mars. How are you doing?

Ares: Anya and Yanna, nice to see you 3 here? Where are Ally and Brooke? Are you visiting Freedom High too?

Anya: Oh no we go to school here.

Ares: Oh really, so I assume you have a stall nearby?

Yanna: We do, but it is upstairs do you guys want to check it out?

Casper: Of course anything for our dear friends.
