"I didn't mean to hurt them. I never wanted them dead."
.
"Who are you trying to fool?
Me or yourself?"
.
"Am I really a monster, then?"

His queen was gone but he gained a loyal pain.
And as Rose once commented: "Even a pawn can take down a king."

Dante knew the truth. About my DID and my alters.
I expected him to be mad.
But he...wasn't.
He seemed strangely indifferent and emotionless, back to his old self, the Dante I knew.
All he said when he saw me was that he was going to make a new plan and he still wants my help with it.
(But when he thought I wasn't looking, I saw him looking at the rose locket with a sad unreadable expression)

We are both held back by our demons. We are fighting our battles on our own. My monsters are in my head. His monsters are physical beings. But both are equally dangerous.
.
He had a emotionless and numb outlook but even he wanted to feel.
"You wanted to be human." It was more a statement than a question.
He didn't agree or deny. "Being numb and feeling empty can only get you so far."
He didn't want to just exist. He wanted to feel emotions, to live. And so I gave him the chance to do so.
.
Feeling like I had nothing to lose, I asked Dante if he ever suspected I had DID in the first place.
And oddly enough, he answered my question.
He told me how he recruits people with special skills. He saw potential in Raiden with his fighting abilities since he defeated 8 of his best fighters.
Told me how he kept a close eye on me since I apparently had two different fighting styles, two different ways of talking, and two drastic personalities. Not to mention, that I apparently had two different kind of eyes (between me and Raiden). That was when he had his suspicions so he ordered Ashton to spy on me.
And his suspicions were only further confirmed with the appearance of Rosalind.
.
It was a weird meeting place to talk. My dead girlfriend's gravestone that is.
But Emma didn't mind. And I didn't care.
It was the anniversary of her death and I was going to pay my respects to her.
(A whole year since she died)
"Do you want me to leave?"
I shook my head, thankful for her considering my feelings, but this was a good a time as any to keep my promise to her. To tell her my story.
.
"Do you think you're the only one with issues?" Len told me bluntly from across the glass wall. "Because if you are, you're fooling yourself. You're not the only one with a rough past, you know."
