Buzz. Buzz.
The sound of his phone buzzing woke Keith up. Groggily, he checked his phone to see what it was. His blood turned cold when he saw it was Lance.
Nope, He thought. Then, it buzzed again. And again. Keith groaned, and decided to check what Lance had said.Keith
KeITH
Keith I'm coming to get you
Uh-oh. Keith started to panic. What was Lance gonna do when he saw Keith? He was probably mad at him.
Of course he's mad, idiot. His mind told him.
Ugh. He'll probably kill me or something. I mean, I ran away from a McDonald's because my friend called to tell me I had to hang out with him and his girlfriend. He probably thinks I'm insane or just overdramatic.
Then, Keith's phone buzzed again.Which room are you in?
Keith almost laughed. No matter how mad and honestly scared he was, just Lance still amused him. He knew Keith didn't wnna be found, yet he still asks him where he is. Just wow.
Ask whoever's behind the counter or something. I won't tell you.
Ugh. I gotta find you!
Keith was surprised. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he admired how determined Lance was. Keith honestly thought Lance would just give up after a while. After all, Keith probably wasn't that important to him.
Haha! I'm coming to get you! I know where you are now!
Shoot.
Keith groaned in frustration. He didn't want to see Lance yet. He had cooled down since his spell, but he knew Lance would still be mad at him.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when the hotel door clicked, and Lance stepped in the room. The tan boy had dark circled under his eyes, his hair was ruffled (probably from riding his bycicle) and he just looked downright worried, apart from the proud smile on his face. That made him look like the most beautiful boy in the world. Keith smiled inwardly, then remembered the situation.
"Listen," He began. "I'm really sorry about what happened. I just... freaked out, and I'm not proud of anything I did..."
"Stop," Lance interrupted him. "I don't want an apology. I want an explanation." Keith paused.
"It's stupid. You probably won't understand," He muttered.
He dosen't really care, is what you mean.
Shut up.
Keith was getting tired of this stupid voice in his head. It caused him to think and act irrationally; it even caused him to punch a wall!
"Earth to Keeeiith," Lance prodded Keith, yanking him out of his thoughts.
"What?" He breathed. Lance looked at him expectantly. "I just wanna know why you threw your phone on the ground at a McDonald's then ran away," Lance said. Keith groaned inwardly. The Cuban boy was not going to give this up anytime soon.
"Fine," He grunted.
Keith explained everything that had happened at the McDonald's, how he felt about the whole "Shallura" thing, even when he punched the wall in his dorm room. After he was done, he looked at Lance to see his reaction. His eyes were slightly wide, and his mouth was open slightly, showing just his teeth. Then, the surprised expression faded into a calm, reassuring smile.
Before Keith knew it, Lance was pulling Keith closer to him.
Oh my god oh my god oh my god he's gonna kiss me isn't he oh my god.
Lance pulled Keith into a hug, and the ravenette boy was disappointed, then realised this might actually be a good sign.
Oh, why would you be disappointed? Of course he wouldn't kiss you, he would never like men, let alone you.
"It's ok,"
Is all Lance said.
Keith felt a lump forming in his throat.
I swear to God you better not start crying.
Keith swallowed the lump back down. He wasn't gonna cry in front of Lance.
This moment was nice. Keith actually liked it. To his dismay, Someone's phone started to ring. The two boys pulled out of the hug and Lance pulled his phone out of his pocket. It was Pidge calling. Lance sighed.
"What's up, Pidget Spinner?"
"I told you to stop calling me that!" Pidge's exclaim could be heard through the phone.
Lance chuckled. "Ok, Pidgelet. What's up?" A few chatters could be heard from the other side.
Suddenly, a slightly shocked expression rolled over Lance's face.
"Oh... I forgot to text you. But yeah, I foud him ages ago. Look, he's right here!" Lance put his phone on speaker.
"Come on, Keith! Can I get a hunyah!" Keith just looked at him blankly.
If I weren't gay for him I would throw him out this fourth-story window, he thought.
"Ok, Keith. Fine, play dumb. Look, Pidge, I swear he's here," He muttered into the phone.
Keith rolled his eyes as the "Meme Lords" (as they referred to themselves) carried on their conversation.
After a few minutes, they finished, and Lance sighed.
"Ah'ight, Keith. Time to go back home," Keith groaned. "I know, I know. You don't wanna go back. But I'll get you chocolate from my dorm if you go." Keith rolled his eyes and sighed as he got off the bed. "Yeah, I know, I'm so cool, aren't I?" Lance chuckled. "Let's just go," Keith muttered.
They entered the parking lot and Lance let out a huge, overdramatic gasp. Keith turned to him. "What?" Lance grabbed his shoulder and pointed to the ruins of what used to be his bike. "Shoot! Someone must have hit it!" Lance gasped. Keith groaned. Of course something weird had to happen. Lance dashed to the remants of his bike which was strewn into the middle of the parking lot. Keith slowly followed with his mouth gaping. After a few minutes of mourning by his bike, Lance got up and looked at Keith. "Come on, Mullet. Let's go back to the dorms, I guess," He dragged Keith to his motorcycle. "Oh," Keith said quietly. It hadn't occured to him that they would have to share a ride. And in such close proximity. Him, and Lance. Wow.
Keith hesitantly got on his motorcycle, while Lance got on behind him. "Hold on," Keith warned him. Lance wrapped his arms around Keith's waist, which made him blush from the touch. "Uhh... aren't you forgetting something?" Lance asked.
Shoot! Forgot helmets! "Oh... right," Keith chuckled nervously. Now Lance probably thought he was stupid. He pulled the two helmets out of the storage compartment beneath the seat of the motorcycle and handed one to Lance, and put one on himself. "NOW hold on," He yelled over the sound of the engine starting. Lance wrapped his arms around Keith once again, and they set off for the dorms.AUTHORS NOTE
Soo yaaaa'll... I didn't know WHAT to name this chapter, so we got this title. Also, my birthday is in like... two days or something. I don't know, so I most likely won't update that day, or the day after that. Just to let ya'll know. I'll try to update as much as I can before then, because I also have school and stuff starting in a little less than a week, so I won't be as active then. I'll try to post like maybe a few times a week, but I won't be able to do so much because I'm gonna be really busy like this whole schoolyear. Maybe my schedule will be like at least once a day on weekends, and maybe late at night on some schoolnights. I'll update ya'll on like a real scheduale soon hopefully. Anyway, I hope you guys liked this chapter!!
