Zhi Ruo was panicking.
He just woke up from the first peaceful sleep he had in a long time, to find his mama nowhere to be seen.
Was everything just a dream ?
at this thought, Zhi Ruo's large beautiful blue eyes filled with tears.
He thought that his mama finally started to love him, that he could finally spend time with his mother without fearing being treated as useless.
But it seems everything was just in my head.
Just as Zhi Ruo was about to start crying, the door of the room suddenly opened.
It was his mother who was holding a plate full of delicious looking food.
Both Yu Yan and Zhi Ruo were surprised, the former because his son looked as if he was about to cry, and the later because of the sudden realisation that what happened the day before was indeed real.

Yu Yan woke up early today, it was probably a habit from his past life.
It took him a while to make sure everything that happened yesterday was not a dream.
When he saw Zhi Ruo, he no longer doubted it.
Yu Yan gripped his son's hand tightly, trying to make sure the warmth he felt was real. This was the only thing that could reassure him.
After he had calmed down a bit, Yu Yan stood up then made his way to the door, he wanted to make breakfast himself, he thought that it was quite a good idea to get closer to Zhi Ruo.
            When Yu Yan entered the kitchen, the cooks first reaction was shock, fallowed with panic.
Well, you couldn't blame them, if his majesty the empress suddenly appeared, then it could only mean they have done something that could have displeased him.
       Everyone present were sure they were going to get punished, but his majesty only sighed, then gave one of his stunning smiles.
even if the staff weren't very fond of the enchanting man in front of them, it was nearly impossible to not blush after seeing such an alluring smile.
The smile of his majesty was so pure and so bright, that if anyone saw it, their only thought would be to give everything just so it wouldn't disappear.
           "I didn't came here to cause trouble for any of you, so you can rest assured, I only want to prepare some food for my little Zhi Ruo."
The cooks finally came back to their sense after hearing what Yu Yan said.
Wait, what? His majesty knew how to cook?
Like he said before, after being sent to the cold palace, Yu Yan learned to do a lot of things, including cooking.
He went to collect the ingredients that he needed, when suddenly he realised something.
What kind of food does Zhi Ruo like again? Yu Yan nearly face palmed.
I guess I don't have a choice but to make what I can then.
Just as he was about to start, one of the many chefs present, came to him "y-you're majesty, please let us take care of this kind of things!" At his word, every single person nodded furiously.
Yu Yan shook his head " no, I told you it was for my son, I could at least do this much for him."
at the determined face Yu Yan wore, the staff could only sigh helplessly.
Yu Yan looked at his worried face then said " but if you're so eager to help, will you please cut those vegetables?"
The chef looked surprised for a second, he looked at the man in front of him that was so different from his memories.
The arrogant and haughty man was nowhere to be seen.
He didn't know what to think about the sudden change, but looking at the crystal clear blue eyes that held only sincerity, the chef smiled then said " gladly your majesty"

Yu Yan looked at the numerous dishes he made, he couldn't help but sweat drop. He really made a lot.
Ah well, this way I could find what kind of food does Zhi Ruo like.
Yu Yan called for Minah to help him carry all of the food,
Then turned to look at the People that helped him, he thanked them and left one of the plates for them to taste.
The servants looked at the departing back of his majesty, and they all vowed in their hearts, that from today onwards, they will be loyal only to him.

Yu Yan wiped his son's mouth, the later was eating the food as if he has been starving for days,even though he was still maintaining his manners as a royalty member, the speed that he was eating at was really surprising.
Yu Yan was quite amused, but he still scolded Zhi Ruo nonetheless, "slow down Zhi Ruo, you will hurt your stomach if you continue eating like that."
Zhi Ruo stopped, then nodded slowly, he didn't look sad at all that his mama scolded him, in fact, it was happiness that could be seen in his eyes.
He loved being cared for so much, it was a warm feeling.
The feeling of finally having a family.
  Zhi Ruo wiped his mouth, then turned to look at his mama.
Yu Yan thought that he lost appetite because he scolded him, so he prepared to start coaxing his son, but what happened next greatly surprised him.
Zhi Ruo threw himself into his mother's arms, then hugged him tightly, as if afraid that what he was living right now, was nothing but an illusion.
" I love you mama"
Yu Yan kissed his forehead, before looking at him with the gentlest eyes he could have seen in his entire life.
" I love you too, my little miracle."

I'm sorry I won't be able to update for probably 2 weeks or so, since I'll be to Hawaii with my family.
