"Good morning sleepy head." Damon greets advice wake up, after accidentally falling alseep in the car.
"Where are we?" I ask him.
"We just got into Virginia a little bit ago, should be there soon."
"Where exactly are we going again?"
"Mystic Falls."
"What if your brother doesn't like me?"
"Stefan doesn't like anything."
"That's not very reassuring."
About 30 minutes later, we enter the town.
When we get to Damon's house, I get stuck at the door trying to enter.
"Elena!" Damon shouts up the stairs.
I watch her in l the entire time she's walking down the stairs. She seems very soft, very mundane.
"You can come in." She states.
They lead me into the living room, where I'm introduced to Stefan.
"So let me get this straight," Stefan starts, "you can do what Damon does?"
"I'm a hell of a lot worse at it, but yeah." I respond.
He nods.
"This has been short and sweet. Arabella and I are going to get breakfast." Damon states.
"Wait, can we come?" Elena asks, "I'll invite Caroline and Bonnie too."
Damon groans, "whatever, just hurry up. Meet us at The Grill in 30 minutes."
Damon takes me into their basement, which is more like a dungeon.
"Although I prefer it straight from the vein, Stefan hates me for that, so this is our blood fridge. Want some?" He asks.
"Yes please." I respond.
He hands me a bag, "you've been quiet since we got here."
"Yeah, I'm just a little uncomfortable is all. I'm used to big city New York not small Mystical Falls or whatever."
"Wait until you meet Elena's friends, they're the definition of annoying."
"They're mundanes right?" I ask.
"Elena is. Caroline is a vampire, Bonnie is a witch."
"Witch? I'm so used to hearing warlock. Anyways, how long are we staying here?"
"As long as you want. This is my hometown so I'll probably stay here."
I nod.
"We still have twenty minutes, what now?" I ask.
He moves closer to me and starts kissing my neck, "I have an idea..."*at Mystic Grill*
"You told me to hurry up, then you were late." Elena complains as soon as we get there.
"We were...busy." he smirks.
"You're disgusting. Come on, Bonnie and Caroline are waiting."
We get to a booth with two girls and Stefan already there.
Elena speaks, "Caroline, Bonnie, this is Arabella. Arabella, these are my best friends Bonnie and Caroline."
I smile and say hi.
"She acts just like Katherine." Caroline states.
"I'm not Katherine, and I don't like being compared to people." I retort, rather rudely.
She scoffs.
"I'm sorry, do we have a problem?" I snap.
"Easy tiger." Damon states, pulling me closer to him. I roll my eyes.
"Ignore Caroline," Bonnie says, "how long are you staying for?"
"Not sure yet, I'll try not to bother you guys for too long."
A blonde guy approaches the table, "so, what can I get you guys?"
I figure out that they're all friend with him, and his name is Matt.
Everyone orders their food and he goes back into the kitchen.
"He's a mundane?" I ask Damon.
"As mundane as it gets." Damon mumbles.
"After this we should go bowling or something!" Caroline suggests.
"No offense, but it's seven in the morning. I want to go to sleep." Damon states. I'm glad he said it, because I would've been mean.
Matt comes back with our food.
"You're from New York?" Bonnie asks.
"Yeah, Brooklyn." I respond.
"That's pretty cool, I've always wanted to see the city."
"Can't you just portal there?"
"No." She says, but its more like a question.
"You're a witch right? You should be able to make portals. Wait, maybe that's just a warlock thing. Am I being offensive?"
She laughs, "I'm not offended, but I wish I could just portal around."
"You should talk to my friend Magnus, maybe he could teach you." I suggest.
"He's still around?" Damon questions.
"Mhm."
"So, Arabella, are you staying at the Salvatore house or a hotel?" Elena asks.
"I haven't really given it much thought, I'm assuming a hotel." I answer.
"Nope. You're staying with me." Damon states.
I have to hide my smile. I like that he's protective of me.
As we all finish our food, we part ways. Stefan went to Elena's house with her, Damon and I go back to his house, and who knows where the others went.
"Not to be a dick, but I wanted to rip Caroline's throat out every time she spoke." I say.
"That's how I feel about almost everyone here."
I laugh, "gotta love your attitude toward life. Well, not life, but you got my point."
"You're so much cuter when you're not talking." He jokes and kisses me.
"Dick." I push his arm playfully.
"That's me." He smiles.
"So what are we going to do now?" I ask.
"Sleep."
"I didn't bring any other clothes with me, I can't really sleep in jeans." I tell him.
He pulls off his t-shirt and throws it at me, "there."
I take off all of my clothes, with the exception of underwear, and put on his t-shirt.
He pulls me into his bed and we both fall asleep almost immediately.
