I woke up the next morning with a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. For once in the last few years I was excited for the day ahead and I wasn't worried about my boyfriend or my job. It felt great and I was so excited to get on stage with my favorite people, every. Single. Day.

I jumped out of my bunk and headed to the lounge where the band was standing.

"Hey there, sleepyhead," Patty giggled. "How was your first night in the bus?"

"Well, considering I'm living my wildest dreams, it wasn't too bad," I laughed back.

"Haha, good to hear. You drink coffee?" He asked.

"Yeah, I could definitely go for some right now."

He smiled while reaching into the fridge and grabbing a cup of iced coffee. "Good, here ya go!"

"Aww that's so sweet of you," I smiled, taking the cup and taking a drink.

"Thank god you said yes," Ben laughed. "He's been freaking out about that all morning, 'What if she doesn't like coffee, is that weird?' Dude's been a fuckin' mess."

"What the hell," Patty frowned and hit Ben on the arm. "I'm sorry about that, I hope you like it Brandy," he said, running his fingers through his hair.

"Of course, I appreciate it."

He looked down at the floor, blushing slightly. God, what the hell is he doing to me?

"We're on at 3:30 today, you guys wanna go set up the merch tent and hang out?" Ben called out to the group.

Everyone nodded before going out to the tent.

After setting up the merch tent, we headed back to the bus to get ready for the day.

"Hey Brandy," Patty said, leaning on the counter in the bus.

"What's up?"

"Do you wanna go grab breakfast? There's probably a restaurant near the venue," He smiled.

"Of course! Want me to ask the others?" I asked, grabbing my "Boys Don't Cry" hat and throwing it on over my mess of bed head.

"No," he shrugged. "Let's just go hang out by ourselves."

"Okay," I smiled. "Sounds great."

I walked out of the bus, Patty following behind.

I started to walk beside him as I felt his hand brush up against mine. I instantly smiled and took his hand in mine. It was the best thing to happen to me in a long time, but I was trying to hide it.

"You're pretty cool, ya know," Patty laughed, so as to break the silence.

"Coming from you?" I smirked. "Ya know, I try to stay away from liars, but you're just too charming."

"Well, whatever you say," he grinned. "I just can't thank you enough for helping us with this tour. I never thought something like this would come out of a little meet and greet and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we're all really thankful for you."

"Ugh, that's exactly what I mean!" I laughed. "Of course, I can definitely say the same for you guys. Playing shows like this is my dream and this miracle came to me at the most perfect time."

He reached over with his free hand, brushing my hair behind my ear. "I'll always be here for you. I know we just met but I can tell that you're an amazing person and I'd really love to get to know you."

I simply laughed and tried to hide my blushing cheeks. "I'd love that too."

"Hey, stop that! It's cute."

I smiled, squeezing his hand a little tighter.

"Do you wanna stop here?" He asked, pointing to a restaurant that appeared to be a small, vintage-style diner.

I nearly jumped, as my mind was completely zoned out after what just happened. "Y-yeah! I'm sorry."

"Don't worry about it," he laughed, pushing the door open for me.

We sat down at a table in the corner, smiling awkwardly as the waitress poured us both a cup of coffee.

"So, tell me about yourself," he said.

"What about me? There's not much, ask me anything you want."

"What's your favorite hobby?"

"Playing guitar," I answered. "I teach it and it's basically all I do when I get home."

"Nice, nice," he nodded slowly. "I should've known, you are pretty good at it after all."

"Thanks," I smiled. "Ask me something else."

"Are you single?" He asked with a slight grin.

"Yeah, as of about three weeks."

"Oh I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked," He said, frowning.

"No, it's ok!" I stuttered. "I'm so over him anyway, I really need to move on from him and I'm definitely ready for a new relationship."

"Well, that's good to hear. So what else is interesting about you?"

"What else?" I smirked. "Oh come on, none of this is interesting, let's talk about you."

"Look at you, Brandy. You're wearing my merch and you won a meet and greet to hang out with my band. I think you know a little bit about me."

I rolled my eyes sarcastically before finally giving in and telling him about my job, my family, and my ex. I basically told him my life story, I was hoping I wouldn't scare him away.

"You know, I know you think you're really boring but I assure you, you're not," he said, smiling sweetly. "I think you're cooler than you know and I'm so thankful you won our giveaway."

"I'm glad too, you're pretty great as well."

After eating our food, we left to head back to the venue.

We held hands just the same on the way back, and I had the same dumb smile.

Patty looked down at his phone. "Were on at 3:30 today, you wanna just hang out 'til then?"

"Yeah, sounds great!" I said before we both sat down on a bench near the merch tent.

He moved our hands and rested them on my thigh.

"God, it's so easy to bring a smile to your face. I think that's been my favorite thing about hanging out with you," he said, looking down at our interlocked hands.

"Well, my favorite thing about you is how you always bring a smile to my face, so I guess that's what makes this so great."

He said nothing before moving his arm and putting it around my shoulder, the other one on my thigh. I laid my head on his shoulder and we talked for about an hour before the doors for the show were about to open.

"Let's go before everyone gets in," he joked. We walked back the bus, laying down on the couch once we got inside. Before I knew, I was asleep on the couch up next to him.

"Hey, you ready for soundcheck?" Patty giggled softly. "I could let you sleep for hours, you just look so peaceful."

He helped me up, wrapping me in his arms briefly before walking out of the bus.
