My apartment was more depressing than ever, and I sighed as I fell face first on the couch. It felt like I was back where I used to be, in a bad situation. But I wasn't, and I had to remember that. I would see Patty again in just days and I would finally get out of here.

Everything about my apartment made me sick. I couldn't take in all of its smells, the view from the window, or the furniture without getting upset.

I eventually got up off the couch, grabbing my favorite guitar off of its wall mount. I mindlessly played several As It Is songs, which only made me more down.

As I finished "Concrete", I put the guitar down so I could start packing.

I had plenty time, but I just couldn't wait. I figured it would get my mind off of everything, anyway.

I woke up and rolled over to see a dark sky outside.

I silently groaned to myself and rubbed my tired eyes. I had barely got any packing done and took a nap instead.

My phone lit up just as I reached over to grab it.

A few minutes passed, and he didn't answer. I grew more and more worried, but decided to once again try to pack, this time into early hours of the morning.

~

I had my whole bedroom, kitchen, and living room packed and laid down for a much needed nap. However, I still hadn't got a text back from Patty.

~

It appears a "nap" was more than I needed, as I found myself once again waking up late once again. I checked my phone and groaned when I saw it read 10:30 pm. I also hadn't gotten a text from Patty, which was becoming more concerning.

As I walked out of my room, there was a knock on my door followed by a deep voice.

"Delivery for Brandy," The voice said. It was slightly familiar, but I still couldn't recognize it.

I hesitated before pulling the door open slowly.

"I'm not expecting anything," I said in a confused tone.

"I know," Patty giggled.

I practically jumped into his arms, a huge smile growing on both of our faces.

"I was worried sick all day," I laughed.

"Sorry about that," he grinned. "I left and caught the earliest flight I could."

"I love you," I smiled.

"I love you too," he said, lifting me up and carrying me over the threshold bridal style.

"Wait," I laughed, "How'd you find my apartment?"

"Regan," he smiled.

"Y'all are always hiding stuff from me," I joked and hit his arm playfully.

"Damn, you almost finished packing," he said, looking around my apartment.

"There's not much to pack," I shrugged. "I live a simple life."
