"Why don't I go ask her," Awsten replied in a stern manner. "You can have a seat."

I heard the boy take a deep breath, followed by the sound of two hands rubbing together nervously and a plastic bag crinkling.

I watched light enter my bunk as the curtain was pulled open by the purple-haired boy.

"Do you wanna go talk to him?" He whispered in my ear closest to him.

I nodded before he brushed my mangled hair out of my face and rubbed my shoulder in a reassuring manner.

"Hey," I smiled, rocking back and forth on my heels as I walked to the couch.

"Hey Brandy," Patty said in his usual warm, comforting tone. It's crazy how much I missed the littlest things. "Let's talk."

I sat down next to him, letting his hand rest on my thigh. It brought a smile to my face despite my oblivion as to why he came to see me.

"I realize that we can't let this go forever," he said nervously, tracing his fingers along my thigh where his hand was already placed.

"Yeah," I said softly.

"So, where do I start," he laughed awkwardly. Oh god. I knew it wasn't the time but everything about his smile and his laugh brought me so much joy and the slight blush on my cheeks made it known. "Brandy, I hate doing this," he sighed.

My comfort was quickly turned to fear as tears welled up in my eyes. "Are you breaking up with me?" I said quietly, my voice cracking slightly. I looked up at him, my tired, heavy eyes meeting his beautiful blue ones. No matter what, everything about him always makes me melt and forget about the world for a few moments.

"Of course not," he said in the same quiet voice as mine.

I breathed a sigh of relief and laid my head on his shoulder.

"We just need to work it out," he said, taking my hand in his.

"I'd love that," I smiled.

"I'm really, really sorry," he said, looking me straight in the eye with absolute sincerity.

"Thanks," I replied. I finally had hope again.

"I really hope you can forgive me, I know I fucked up," he laughed.

"Of course I will," I giggled. "What made you wanna talk to me?"

"Well, I saw the video of you playing Lucky People," he started. "You looked so happy and passionate. Plus, the lyrics made me realize what I want. I wanna make things work with you despite what I said."

"Aw, how could I say no to that," I chuckled.

"I missed that," he smiled, pointing to the blush on my cheeks.

I lifted my head up off of his shoulder as he leaned forward and picked something up off the floor.

"For you," he said, handing me a bouquet of roses.

"God, I love you," I replied. I threw my head in my hands when I realized what I said.

Patty awkwardly stared off to the side.

"I'm sorry," I said nervously. "It slipped out I"

I was cut off by his lips colliding with mine. I think we forgot we were in someone else's bus for a moment when Awsten walked in the room.

"Damn, I guess that talk went well," he laughed.

"Oh god," I chuckled nervously.

"I'm guessing you'll need this," he smiled, holding my packed suitcase out in front of him.

I looked over at Patty, who nodded and put his arm around my shoulder.

"Thanks Awsten," I said, walking over to him and wrapped him up in a big hug. "I really appreciate everything you've done."

"Of course," he said, hugging me and patting me on the back.

I took my suitcase and flowers and lead Patty out the door.

"I missed you a fuck ton," I said to break our silence.

"I missed you too," he laughed. "The guys missed their guitarist, too."

"Wait," I looked over at him. "I'm still in?"

"Of course you are," he smiled.

We walked the rest of the way in silence, but there wasn't anything wrong with that. We were happy.

"Brandy!" The three guys exclaimed as I walked in the bus.

"You're back!" Ben said, getting up and giving me a hug. "Thank god."

I put my suitcase in my bunk before walking back to the front of the bus with everyone else.

"Patty's been a wreck," Ben laughed. "You don't know how how glad we are to have you back, I can't deal with him."

"Wow, you really did miss me," I chuckled.

"Yeah, he's pretty pathetic when he's crying cause"

"Yeah, yeah," Patty said, cutting Foley off. "Shut up."

"I'm kinda tired, I think I'm gonna go lay down," I said, leaning over to Patty and giving him a small peck on the lips.

I climbed into the bunk, realizing how much I missed it, it felt like my little home. Plus, the covers smelled like Patty.

I put in my headphones and slipped on my hoodie before getting in the covers to sleep.

I was drifting off when I saw the curtain open slowly and Patty climbed in next to me. He picked me up and gently set me next to him, my arms and head resting on his chest.

"Sorry, I hope I didn't wake you up," he whispered. I heard him, but I was too close to falling asleep to answer.

"Goodnight love," he whispered once again, kissing my forehead and running his fingers through my hair.

Small strips of light came through the side of the curtain as I woke up.

"You're awake!" Patty said in a matter of seconds.

"Yeah, I see you're lively this morning," I laughed, rubbing my eyes.

"Yeah, I've just been waiting for you to get up so I don't have to wake you. By the way, nice playlist."

I noticed one of my earbuds wasn't in my ear and Patty had put it in his. My face turned red as I heard the song that was playing.

"I went missing on the inside," Patty sang along to the song, "Soap".

I laughed and laid my head back down on his chest.

"Hey hey hey," he giggled, placing a hand under my head and lifting it up. "We're on first today, you have to wake up."

"Make me," I smirked.

"If you're gonna be that way," he said, trying to roll me off of him.

"Fine, fine," I replied, getting up and pressing my lips against his for a few seconds.

"We can finish that later," he laughed. "Let's go."
