The Dream

I was asleep, I think. I wasn't where I normally was when I fall asleep. Instead of just me and the dark void, I was met under an oak tree with Dennis next to me.

We were both sitting on the stump of the tree, he had his head on my shoulder and I had my arm around him. He was wearing a dark blue sweater, and I was wearing a dark red one.

He looked so cute and happy, he was holding my hand gently and I was holding his. I didn't think much of anything until I saw it.

A ring.

He had a ring on his, well ring finger obviously. It had a diamond in the middle of it that had two vines holding it. Then I saw the almost exact same ring on my ring finger, again obviously.

I was shocked for a second before smiling, a tear almost falling. The first ever dream I had experienced in my life, it was so perfect.

We were in the woods, and it was sunny with barely any clouds around. The sun looked like it was just born today. I sighed happily thinking that this dream was just an image, nobody could talk or move, I liked it.

He opened his eyes and kissed my cheek, which I was surprised by because I thought that in dreams nothing could move. I was wrong. He held my cheek in his and placed his forehead on mine, he stared into my eyes and I stared back.

After about an hour or so sitting like that he fell asleep, God he was like a cute little kitten. A let him lay his head on my lap as I pat the top of his head gently, again like an adorable kitten.

He moved his head around sometimes, but other than that he was completely peaceful. It was probably the bushes moving so much that shook him, wait it's not windy. I realized bushes don't move on there own, so I'm freaking out a tiny bit in my mind.

I moved his head off my lap gently and then went to go check all the bushes for humans or animals. There was nothing around us at all, not even a squirrel or something. The bushes kept rattling, and it was annoying me now too. I decided to see if the cabin was around so he could rest there, and no creepy and annoying bushes.

I gently picked Dennis up bridal style and started carrying him in a random direction, this probably wouldn't work but why not give it a shot. I kept walking for a while and passed statues, like animal statues that I haven't seen before. It was weird.

And a normal person would think, 'Oh this must not be where my cabin is!' then they would turn around, well I just kept going like the idiot I am. Then it got weirder and I was honestly scared slightly, two of them were in front of my house.

One was an eagle and the other was a bear, ok that's not so bad. But they were on the sides of my front door. I thought they would curse us or something so I gently ruffled Dennis' hair so it would cover his face, hoping that somehow that would help.

I walked up to them and got my keys out of my pocket. Now, these things were made of metal, ok that's normal. Unless they just started moving, ok I'm officially freaked out.

The bear thing moved its arm out in front of me after the eagle thing ate my keys. This I hope is normal.

"Tickets please." The bear grumbled. It was a deep voice and it was raspy.

The eagle pointed to something that was on Dennis' neck, a necklace with two small pieces of paper in the middle. Totally confused, I gently took the necklace off him and gave them the tickets.

They ate the tickets.

The eagle banged its head on the door about five times before it opened, then they both moved 3 feet away. That isn't a good sign, is it?

I walked in and there was darkness, the door shut and I almost dropped Dennis. This already isn't fun for a ride.

"Have fun in the nightmare land!" I heard a heard a high pitched squeal from out the door, I just placed the owner as the eagle. Why not.

Dennis woke up and I put him down, he had his phone and wrote down that he had lost his voice and why I read it and pecked his lips hugging him. God, I love this man.

We started to walk around the room using our phone flashlights for, well duh flashlights. Then out of nowhere, two things appeared in the middle of the room with smoke around it. We were looking at a poster of a talking apple near the door so we were in front of it.

It was an oven and Dennis' ex.

I was officially bewildered and freaking out, I was about to break the door down and throws rocks at him I swear.

Dennis clung to my arm once he saw his ex, and just put my arm around him protectively. His ex was wearing a black shirt with gray pants and white converse. Ok, good style, still hate him though.

He opened the oven with a blank expression, he turned it to 450F and did something that will haunt me forever.

He stuck his head in the oven.

He stayed there for about five minutes before he went limp, Dennis was shaking as he held my arm. I was just happy he died for what he did, but that was a creative way to go in my opinion.

They disappeared into thin air and Dennis seemed releaved, yet he was still shaking violently. Then a door opened behind us, I looked at Dennis who buried his face in my shoulder, so I just kissed the top of his head and started to walk as he followed with me.

It was light like heaven.

Nothing there just a bright light that almost blinded me. Dennis moved away from me and stared me in the eye. He got down on one knee and kissed my hand, I was dumbfounded.

He smiled and hugged me and I hugged back. "Its time to wake up now." I heard him say in a heavenly voice.

After that, I jolted up from my bed out of breath and shaking, Dennis looked up at me with a worried expression. I just let myself fall back onto my bed and covered eyes with the palms of my hands.

Why did my dream have to end like that?
