I woke up to nothing. I didn't even have a dream or the dark void. Dennis was gone and it was brighter in the room. I sat up and grabbed my phone from the bedside table and checked the date and time. It was around seven and the day after the fight.

I heard a door open and close followed by light footsteps. I put my phone back down and got up. My body was aching still but it wasn't unbearable pain.

Dennis slowly opened the door before noticing me up, once he did his eyes lit up like fireworks. He came over and hugged me tightly, he kissed me and buried his face in the crook of my neck.

"How are you feeling?" He asked with another kiss to my cheek.

"Better. Did the guy come back?" I smiled slightly and held him close.

"No. You were out for a whole day so I think he could be coming back soon." His face started to show signs of worry from this.

"Well then let's go shopping. We are running out of food anyway." I shrugged slightly and ruffled his hair playfully.

"Ok! I'll be in the bathroom for a second." He jumped smiling and left for the bathroom waving.

I waved back before getting some clothes out. "I'll be out when I'm done changing." I replied.

I pulled out black jeans with rips around the knees, a grey t-shirt, and my dark red sweater. I grabbed my phone and slid it into my pocket before leaving the room.

Dennis got out of the bathroom and smiled at me. He went into the bedroom needing to change and I went into the bathroom.

I came out and slid my black and orange converse on that were sitting in the closet. I grabbed my keys and turned around, I was met with a face and I almost fell I jumped so much.

Dennis chuckled and held my hand. He startled me but what really scared me was what he was wearing. Don't think I'm saying he looked horrible, he looked cute.

He had bright blue jeans, a black t-shirt, black and blue shoes, and in his free hand was a dark blue sweater.

Exactly like the one from the 'dream'.

I was wearing my sweater too, but I just shook it off and smiled. I hugged him and kissed him, he kisses back and when we pulled away he giggled lightly.

We walked out of the house hand in hand. A cold wind blew past us and Dennis shivered. He swiftly managed to put the sweater on his thin body and held back to my hand.

I laughed and we kept walking. The sun was shining, the clouds were gone for once, and dead leaves who let the Fall weather subdue them covered the ground.

When we finally got to the store he took out a crumbled up piece of paper from his jean pocket. It unfolded it and it showed a list of items needed.

I ruffled his hair gently and kissed his cheek. "You look so cute in that sweater."

He smiled and kissed my cheek in response. "Well, you look dashing in everything."

I giggled and kissed his hand. He was just about to do the same before he saw something behind me. His eyes widened and were riddled with fear.
