I walked down the street smiling at the ground as it grew from small puddles into a lake of water streaming down into an ant hill somewhere probably. The lights on the street above head flickered and left little zap noises all over the silent street. I kept looking for someone hurt, but I found nobody once so ever. I walked over to the bus stop and sat in the little booth leaning out to let the rain hit the very top of my head.
To my surprise I hear something new to the night. It wasn't rain smashing on the ground, cars zooming threw puddles, or the flickers of the street lights, but it was footsteps.... and the sound grew near. As I looked around to find where the noise was coming from, a boy ran to the bus stop from the right. He was soaked and his eyes were shut tightly, he was wearing a T-shirt and jeans looking like he was crying, and his glasses wheir half falling down his face and the same thing looked like it was happening to his backpack too.
He stood next to the bus stop and wiped away his tears and sat next to me, I just stared at him confused. They boy looked almost exactly my age, and he just adjusting his glasses and wiping away his tears. For some reason I couldn't rip his neck in two like the rest of them, something inside me just... refused.
He looked at me with tears in his eyes still, "I-Is their s-something you need?" he asked me adjusting his glasses once again, he seemed to be nervous by the sight of me.
I was stunned that he could see me, but I just answered anyway. "No, sorry just... nevermind." I mustered up the courage to answer.
The boy shook his head and smiled at me. "You don't have to answer, sorry if I'm annoying you." he seemed to be a bit happier now that he was talking to someone. All I did was smile back at him and stared out and leaned my head back under the rain.

The bus came and we both got on, I swiped my metro card and sat in the first seat on the left side. The boy dug in his wallet and covered some bus tokens, but the driver just pointed to a sign that read 'TOKENS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, ONLY METRO CARDS WILL BE IN USE', the boy sighed and turned around and started to walk off.
"Wait!" I blurted out while scrambling to get my ne to card out of my wallet. "I got it!" I said as I swiped my metro card, the boy was let onto the bus.
"Thank you sir." the boy said as he bowed to me with his glasses coming loose a bit.
"No problem kiddo." I replied as I got out of my seat, bowed back, and sat back into my seat.
The boy smiled at me again and I just smiled back. He walked to the second seat on the right and sat next to the window. I kept glaring at him during most of the ride. The whole ride we both just stared out the window and at eachother.
