BEEP!! BEEP!!BEEP!!
i groan at the sound of my alarm.
today's the first day at my new school.
i'm a junior in high school.
i feel nervous and excited i guess...
i don't know. i've never been the "new girl"
i finally got out of bed after checking all my socials and went to my closet to choose an outfit.
i decided to wear a white tank top which i tucked into my blue ripped jeans. i also wore a yellow flannel on top of my tank top. and for shoes, i just put on my air forces.
i headed into my bathroom to brush out my hair. my hair is naturally straight so i just left it how it was.
i picked up my backpack and headed downstairs.
"good morning honey"
"hey mom, i'm guessing dad has left already?"
"yup. so are you excited for your first day" she says coming over to me and holding my hands
"a bit nervous i guess"
"don't be" she says letting go of my hands to hand me an apple
"thank you"
"you need a ride?"
"uh no it's okay i'll just walk"
"okay i'll see you later" she says giving me a hug
"see you"
i walk out through the back to head through the woods.
it was a short cut to school plus i could also get a quick bite.
i don't drink human blood.
i know shocker.
it's tough but i somehow manage to do it.
i arrive to school and headed to the main office to pick up my schedule and locker info.
"here you go sweetie! you will love it here" she says handing me my stuff
"thank you" i say as i start heading for the door
i wasn't looking where i was going and i bumped into someone. and all my things fell.
we both bend down to grab them
"hey uh i've never seen you around here" the mysterious boy says
"oh yeah probably because i'm new here" i say as we get up
"oh your the new girl"
"that's me"
"hey if you need help"
"oh yeah do you know where room b-114 is?"
right when he was about to answer me some girl comes up to him
"hey babe" she says as she gives him a kiss
by this point it felt awkward.
"good morning beautiful, uh this is ..."
"kelsey" i respond for him
"omg your new right?" the girl asks
"yup"
"you will love it here! just stay away from grayson cause he's mine"
so that's his name i thought
"uhh yeah so which room was it again" grayson chimes in
"b-114"
"yeah so you just go straight that way then up the stairs and to your left"
"thanks"
"i have that class too so i'll see you in a bit"
"yeah um okay" i say as i see his girlfriend i assume throwing glares at me.
