i have an incredible best friend, i'm no longer fighting with my ex boyfriend anymore, and i might be getting into a relationship soon... maybe? life couldn't be any better. but let me not jinx that...
it was a beautiful friday morning. i was dreading school today, but i was very happy that i would be seeing grayson.
i grabbed my phone from my night stand as i stayed laying down on my bed not prepared to get out of it just yet.
i was scrolling through my instagram when i see a text from the one and only.
grayson: good morning beautiful :) kelsey: wow very romantic of you grayson: oh i know kelsey: well thanks for making me blush i guess grayson: you are very much welcome. i need to talk to you. it's urgent. i'll be at yours in 5. kelsey: what the hell ! i'm literally still in bed and you are picking me in 5 minutes ?? better make that 20 😡 grayson: 15 minutes tops ! see you soon. read: 6:20am
"UGHHHH" i slightly yell out annoyed by the fact that i have to get ready in 15 MINUTES !! i decided to get out of bed not trying to waste anymore time. i look through my closet to see what i would be wearing today. after a few minutes of searching and searching, i finally found the perfect outfit !

after putting on my clothes, i quickly ran to my bathroom to begin my makeup. nothing special just a bit of foundation, mascara, lipgloss. you know just a simple look for school.
i was tying my shoes when i heard my phone chime. i finish tying my last shoe lace and pick up my phone from besides me.
grayson: i'm in the back. hurry up ! kelsey: it hasn't even been 15 minutes yet !! grayson: chop chop
i groan again to myself as i get off my bed and start putting my books in my bag. i quickly head to my bathroom once more to brush my hair and brush my teeth. since i was being rushed i just left my hair natural for today.
i ran back into my room, grabbed my bag, and headed out the door. i was walking down the stairs when i hear my phone chime again.
grayson: mind bringing me a little something ? kelsey: i'll bring you my presence grayson: i love the sound of that but i meant maybe like some food kelsey: granola bar or blueberry muffin ? grayson: you choose princess read 6:32
did he really just call me "princess" i thought to myself as i picked up a granola bar from the pantry in my kitchen. after grabbing that i headed for the door that led to the backyard. i walked out and closed the door behind me.
"took you long enough" grayson spats out as he looks at me up and down "you're lucky i like you or i would still be up in bed" i look at him still very annoyed at the fact that he made me get ready under pressure. we began walking into the woods on our way to school when he opened his mouth to speak.
"so you like me ?" he asked me with a questionable tone which led me to panic. "oh uh you know l-like a friend" i blurt out regretting what i had just said. what if he thinks i only see him as a FRIEND when i honestly don't !!!
"oh" he looks down at the floor looking upset at the words that had just come out of my mouth. "um... what was it you wanted to talk about ?" i try changing the subject. which thankfully worked.
"right... well i don't know if you know but today's a full moon." my eyes grew big and wide as the words came out of his mouth. "i need you to stay inside and not come out for the rest of the night" he continued. "one bite from me or ethan and you're dead."
"yeah i'll um... sure i'll um stay inside, don't worry." i reassure him. "i should probably let jack know about today"
"so you and jack ?" he gripped onto his backpack as we continued walking and as he avoided any eye contact with me. "there is nothing going on between us, trust me." there was a sudden awkward silence that had filled the air. all of a sudden i stopped in my tracks hoping he would too. he did. i walked up to him not thinking at all and gripped his confused face in my hands. i pulled his face forward and smashed my lips onto his. i felt butterfly's fluttering everywhere in my stomach. i felt his hands land on my hips as mine wrapped around his neck.
he pulled away to catch his breath. with his arms still tied around my waist i leaned back a little to look at him right in the eyes. "gray..." i began "jack is an ex for a reason." his face still looked unsure of the situation. "he's just my friend now" i continued "nothing more."
"promise?" he smiled looking down at me considering our height difference. "promise" i smiled back at him. i felt his lips back on mine. that ended shortly as i pulled away and grabbed his hand as we continued our walk to school.
