"hey, you must be jack" i say trying to act as if i didn't know him already
"and you must be kelsey" he says keeping his eyes locked to mine
"ima go get the drinks from the basement, while i'm gone get to know each other" but before sydney could leave jack grabs her by the wrist
"stay down there until i call you back up sweetheart" he says staring into sydney's dark brown eyes as he compels her.
then she walked away
"what are you doing here?" i say as i walk back to where i was sitting
"that's all you have to say to me? no, i miss you or anything" he says as he takes a seat right next to me
"jack i'm not going to say it again, why are you here?"
"maybe i wanted to see the girl i love again"
"stop saying you love me... you clearly don't if you cheated on me with some bitch" i say crossing my arms
"please let me explain everything" he says as he places his hand on my chin making me face him.
"what is there to explain" i say as i roughly take his hand off me, i get up from the couch and move towards the kitchen with jack following behind me.
"just listen to me" he begs
"give me one good reason why i should?" i say with a tone of annoyance
"i was just trying to fix us!"
"what do you mean?" i ask utterly confused
"i wanted to make us human again..."
"yeah cause you would give up being a vampire" i say with a chuckle at the end
"you know what, i would've, and you want to know why?" jack talks back as he starts walking closer to me.
"please tell me, why would jack the big bad vamp want to turn human? enlighten me" i say as i start walking backwards as jack continued to walk towards me, until my back was pressed against the wall
"maybe because i loved this girl and would do anything for her... even if it meant becoming what i hate the most..." jack whispers in my ear
both his hands were leaning against the wall, while i was just there in between them.
he was leaning in...
at this point our faces where a few inches apart...
i could feel his hot breath on me...
then i felt his lips on mine.
he kissed me.
i kissed back but it didn't feel right, so i stopped the kiss before it went any further.
"i'm sorry, i shouldn't have" jack says nervously as he backs away
"listen i should get going..." before i could walk away i hear him speak up again
"did you feel anything?" he says while looking up at me
i look back at him.
i could see how bad he wanted me to say that i did but i had to tell him the truth.
"i didn't" i say as i start walking away
before i could open the back door to start heading out, i looked back at him once more
"goodbye jack"
then i left.
