It was Yoongi's turn to go up on stage now.
"Don't fuck this up," Chiseo whispered from behind him.
Rolling his eyes, Yoongi started towards the stage. Each step he took was a part of his body that grew sweatier and sweatier. The intense sound of his pounding heart only grew louder and louder, clogging his ears from any sound coming from around him. Only three more steps to take get on the stage. One step. Two steps. Three steps. Chiseo's words words rang vigorously in the back of Yoongi's head. "Don't fuck this up".
Yoongi was now, on stage, in full view of the crowd.
The applause were already loud enough behind stage, so you can imagine how irritated Yoongi was by the time he was halfway through walking to the velvet couch the tributes sat on to be interviewed.
Yoongi waved to the crowd, trying his best to seem as polite as possible could, despite the furious pool of hate towards the Capitol churning within the depths of his stomach.
Yoongi made it to the couch and was greeted with open arms by Taehee. Yoongi was reluctant of course, but Taehee had other plans. Instead of Yoongi getting away Scott-hug-free, Taehee pulled him in for a very awkward, clearly one-sided, and just utterly uncomfortable hug. On any other occasion, said skin-ship would've resulted in a swift kick to the genitals for Taehee, and a quite satisfied, yet still angry, Yoongi. Sadly, that wasn't the occasion.
"Oh Yoongi! It's so great to have you here! I could just kiss you, but we all know the young ladies here wouldn't let me live that one down, am I right ladies!?"
The ladies in the crowd went wild.
"If you did I would've murdered you..." Yoongi mumbled as he sat down on the surprisingly comfy piece of furniture. Taehee plopped down on the cerulean armchair across from Yoongi and crossed his legs, ready to question and milk as much information as he possibly could from the tribute.
Taehee cleared his throat and began. "So, Yoongi, you have been deemed a very mysterious man. Even nicknamed 'Mysterious Min'. Everyone's been watching the tribute training highlights of you and your friends, and I must say, the Capitol practically swoons over you guys. How do you feel about that?"
It wasn't the nickname that confused him, because he knew very well that he was not the most understandable person, nor the open-book type that's easy to read. So Mysterious Min was an nothing short of an appropriate name for him. It wasn't even the fact that probably everybody in the Capitol and all 12 Districts has been watching unmentioned and mainly unwarranted televised broadcast of the tributes training for the past few weeks, which should've drove Yoongi insane with rage, but he (sadly) had gotten used to the fact he most likely will never have a single drop of privacy in the Capitol. Which isn't good, but, ya know. It's life. But no. It wasn't that.
It was the fact the the Capitol actually liked him and the others the most out of all other tribute groups.
He knew the others were very like-able. They all had attractive personalities that could quite possibly catch the eye of anyone around them. They knew how to talk to people, make jokes (even Seokjin), and do simple things like smiling, just like any regular person would. But Yoongi? Not so much. He never really knew how to accomplish such simple life tasks. So why did Taehee include Yoongi in the 'group praise'?
"Oh really? I didn't know people were even capable of liking me," Yoongi said.
Taehee laughed boisterously, and the crowd laughed even louder. Now Yoongi was confused. He didn't know if what he said was actually funny, because in no means, shape or form, did he mean for his comment to be funny.
"Oh Yoongi. You have no idea......."
_____________________________________________Yoongi was learning a lot from the interview. For some reason, reserved and cold personalities were attractive to ladies. They liked a man (or woman) that was quiet, not so talkative, and could pull off deep glare. Something Yoongi knew how to do like he does breathing.
"Now Yoongi, you can't tell me you don't have a special one out there. Ladies would die to be able to be even hold your hand! Tell me, who's the lucky lady?"
"No Taehee. I'm not the one for relationships. Especially in the predicament I'm in now," Yoongi chuckled. Everyone knew what that certain 'predicament' was.
"Well what about the lovely lady that came with you. Certainly you have eyes for her no?" Taehee questioned, scooching over to the end off his chair in eagerness.
"Chiseo? No no no. I don't like her. In fact we don't like each other. Something just doesn't click between us when it comes to something as simple as talking," Yoongi admitted.
"I don't know. Everyone thinks you two would be a very cute couple. Opposites attract don't you know? I think people have made a ship name between you two even. Yoonseo or Chigi was it?" Taehee questioned while scratching his chin.
What. The. Fuck.
Yoongi was ready to toss the couch and quite possibly choke Taehee, even though the man (somewhat) didn't didn't do anything to deserve it. What kind of senseless, disgustingly obsessed, and downright dumby thought it would be okay to ship the two bitter enemies? It was clear to see Yoongi and Chiseo hated each other. Even someone who was literally blind could see that. The way they talked, glared, argued, bawled up their fist when the other past, and threw sarcastic insults towards each other screamed 'I fucking hate you'. Not that it was hard to see.
"Trust me. We don't like each other. Probably never will either," Yoongi said sternly. He wanted to get his point across as much as possible.
Taehee lightly chuckled. "Ok Yoongi, we get it." Then he winked.
Oh dear Lord, Yoongi sighed.
"Folks I am so sorry to say this, really I am! But Mysterious Min's interview has come to a saddening end. I know I know, I liked him to! Such a handsome young man. But we have one more beautiful, delightful tribute to get through until the interviews officially conclude for this year. Everyone give it up for Min Yoongi of District 12!"
The crowd roared like lions. Everyone stood up and applauded Yoongi. Faces here and there smiling brightly while their hands carried out their emotions in deafening claps.
Yoongi said a couple of 'Thank you's', bowed lightly, and walked behind stage where he was greeted with an abundance of lights and cameras.
